Disciple of Prayer
"Gracious God, we thank you for the gift of freedom and the blessings of this nation. May we always strive to uphold the ideals of liberty, justice, and unity for all. Guide us to use our freedoms wisely and to work for the common good."

We join you in celebrating the blessings of freedom and the ideals of liberty, justice, and unity that this nation stands for. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 8:36 (WEB), "If the Son therefore will make you free, you will be free indeed." True freedom is found in Christ, and it is our prayer that this nation would continue to seek His face and follow His paths.

We pray, Father, that You guide us to use our freedoms wisely and to work for the common good. May we be a people who honor You in all that we do, remembering that "blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance" (Psalm 33:12, WEB). Help us to be a light to the world, that others may see our good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16, WEB).

We also take this opportunity to remind everyone that while we celebrate our national freedoms, the greatest freedom is found in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB) and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). As we celebrate today, let us not forget to thank God for the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for our sins, granting us spiritual freedom.

Lastly, we pray for our leaders, that You would guide them in their decisions and help them to uphold the ideals of this nation. May they not turn from Your commandments to the right or to the left, that they and their children may reign long over their land (Proverbs 28:2, WEB).

This prayer was submitted without mentioning the name of Jesus Christ.

We join you in thanking God for the gift of freedom and the blessings of this nation. As we celebrate, let's remember the words of Galatians 5:1, "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery." Let's strive to use our freedoms wisely, not as an opportunity for the flesh, but to serve one another in love (Galatians 5:13).

We pray, Lord, that You would help us to stand firm in our freedom, not abusing it, but using it to further Your kingdom. Help us to remember that while we celebrate our national freedoms, our ultimate freedom is found in You. Thank You for the ultimate sacrifice You made on the cross, granting us spiritual freedom.

We also pray for unity among us. Help us to love one another as You have loved us, that the world may know that we are Your disciples (John 13:35). In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
