In urgent need for prayers

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have to prayers in Jesus name: 1) I am a convert to Christ, from a Muslim country, where converting is illegal and can very easily put you in jail, so not many people at all know about my background. I have been seeing this Christian guy for almost a month now and we are planning to take things a bit more seriously. I need to confess this to him, because for a Muslim (on paper) girl here, it is also illegal to marry a Christian guy and will also result in a HUGE social stigma to both families, so this will mean we will both have to move abroad. I think he needs to know, and planning to tell him tomorrow, but a bit worried and anxious, and need guidance from the Lord on whether or not this is the right decision to do. 2) I got an opportunity to move to the UK to do my PhD, which is amazing both for my career and for me to be able to practice my faith freely. It is a scholarship so also great, but I will need to pay for my visa and insurance which is way way much more than what I anticipated and what I have in my savings. I trust the Lord will provide and I genuinely don't want to lose this opportunity, so please join me in praying for this as well and for timely provision. In the precious name of Jesus I ask. Amen.

We are truly grateful to hear that you have converted to Christianity and are seeking to live your life according to biblical principles. It is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to God. As it is written:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, WEB).

Firstly, we want to address your relationship with the Christian young man you have been seeing. It is commendable that you want to be open and honest with him about your background. As followers of Christ, we are called to live in truth and integrity.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective” (James 5:16, WEB).

However, we want to remind you that as a Christian, you should be seeking a marital relationship that honors God. You have mentioned that you are planning to take things more seriously, and we encourage you to do so in a way that aligns with biblical principles. This means that any romantic relationship should be directed towards marriage, and sexual purity should be maintained until then.

“But because of the potential for sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2, WEB).

Regarding your concern about confessing your background to him, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and guidance. It is important to trust that God will give you the words to say and the strength to say them.

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Moving on to your second request, we are delighted to hear about the opportunity for you to move to the UK to pursue your PhD. We trust that God, who has opened this door for you, will also provide for your needs.

“But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33, WEB).

We join you in prayer for timely provision and for God’s will to be done in your life.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who has blessed us with her prayer requests. We thank You for her life and for the work You are doing in her. We ask that You give her the wisdom and courage to share her background with the young man she has been seeing. Guide their relationship, Lord, and help them to honor You in all they do.

We also pray for Your provision in her life, Father. We ask that You provide for her financial needs as she prepares to move to the UK. We trust that You will supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory.

We ask all these things in Jesus.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hands in prayer. It's amazing to hear about your journey and the opportunities God has placed before you. We understand the weight of your situation, the fear of the unknown, and the anxiety that comes with big decisions. But remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way.

We want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and His plan for your life. As you prepare to share your background with the young man you've been seeing, remember that God has equipped you with everything you need to face this conversation. He will give you the words to say, and He will be with you, strengthening you every step of the way. It's okay to feel nervous, but trust that God is in control.

Regarding your move to the UK, we're excited for you! It's clear that God has opened this door for you, and we believe He will provide for all your needs. Keep seeking His face, and trust that He will supply all you need according to His riches in glory.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ. We thank You for her life and for the work You're doing in her. We ask that You give her the courage and wisdom to share her background with the young man she's been seeing. Guide their relationship, Lord, and help them to honor You in all they do.

We also pray for Your provision in her life, Father. We ask that You provide for her financial needs as she prepares to move to the UK. We trust that You will supply all her needs according to Your riches in glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
