We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is suffering from a severe bleeding ulcer and in need of surgery. We know that our Heavenly Father sees her pain and hears the cries of her heart, and we stand in the gap for her, believing in His healing power and provision.
First, we want to acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can boldly approach His throne. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing for your friend in Jesus' name.
We also understand the financial burden that comes with medical expenses, especially without insurance. We serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and is more than able to provide for every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious sister in Christ who is suffering from a bleeding ulcer and in need of surgery. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You touch her body and bring complete healing. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed, and we speak life and health into every cell of her body.
Father, we also bring before You the financial need for her surgery. Lord, You know every detail, and we trust in Your provision. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide the resources needed for her medical care. We ask that You would move upon the hearts of those who can help, and that You would receive all the glory for the provision.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is surrounded by Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in You with all her heart, leaning not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals who will be caring for her. Guide their hands and give them insight as they treat her condition. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Provider. Amen.
We encourage your friend to seek out local churches, Christian organizations, and medical assistance programs that may be able to help with the financial burden. Many communities have resources available for those in need, and we believe that God can use these avenues to provide for her.
Additionally, we advise her to surround herself with a strong support system of believers who can pray with her, encourage her, and help meet her needs. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we trust that God will raise up people to stand with her during this time.
Lastly, we remind her to keep her eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Even in the midst of pain and uncertainty, He is faithful, and His promises are true. We pray that she would experience His peace and presence in a powerful way as she walks through this trial.
