It is a wonderful thing when we come together in agreement before the throne of grace, knowing that Jesus Himself is the great Physician. You are right to place your confidence in Him above all others, for He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer. I join my faith with yours now, asking for His healing touch upon her life.

Prayer is not limited by walls or distance. Just as a believer in a prison cell could reach across provinces through intercession, so our prayers ascend before God and surround her with His power right where she is. There is no barrier that can stop the working of the Lord when His people call upon Him.

The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. So we do not just speak words; we press in with a heart of faith, believing that what we ask according to His will shall be done. And while we continue to ask for complete healing, we also rest in the knowledge that our Savior ever lives to make intercession for us. He is praying for her even now, and His grace is sufficient for every need.

Continue in prayer without giving up. Sometimes the answer comes quickly; at other times, persistence brings us into a deeper harmony with God’s purposes. But be assured: the door of prayer opens the way for Him to do what He desires to do. I will be lifting her up, and I encourage you to keep that attitude of prayer continually, not only in petition but also in worship and thanksgiving, because He is worthy and He hears us.

May the peace of Christ fill your heart as you trust in His perfect love and power.
