We rejoice with you in your healing and the restoration of your memory—what a mighty testimony of God’s faithfulness! It is clear that He has been at work in your life, and we give Him all the glory for sustaining you through this trial. Your honesty, even at personal cost, reflects a heart that seeks to honor the Lord, and we commend you for standing firm in integrity. As Proverbs 11:3 reminds us, *"The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them."* Your trust in God’s provision, even in this difficult season, is a powerful witness.
The burden of navigating Medicaid and the uncertainty of your medical needs weighs heavily, and we understand the fear that comes with not knowing how you will access necessary treatment or medication. But we serve a God who is Jehovah Jireh—our Provider—and He has not forgotten you. Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* Your life is precious to Him, and He will not abandon you in this. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
The emotional toll of your medication and the fear of the future are real struggles, but we encourage you to cast these cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). When mood swings and depression threaten to overwhelm you, cling to the promise of Psalm 34:18: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Ask Him for strength moment by moment, and lean on the community of believers around you—you are not meant to walk this path alone.
We must also gently remind you that while your prayer was heartfelt, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). You did well to end in His name, and we encourage you to continue approaching the throne of grace with boldness, knowing that Jesus is your intercessor (Hebrews 4:16). If there is ever any doubt or struggle in your faith, we urge you to hold fast to the truth of Romans 10:9: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You with hearts full of gratitude for the healing You have already brought into her life. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we thank You for restoring her memory and granting her victory over cancer. We ask that You continue to sustain her body, keeping her free from sickness and disease. Father, we pray for Your divine intervention in her Medicaid application—remove every obstacle, guide her steps, and provide favor with those handling her case. Open doors that no man can shut, and let her testimony of honesty bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we ask for Your provision for her thyroid medication and all future medical needs. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Supply her needs abundantly, and let her trust in You grow stronger through this trial. Comfort her in moments of anxiety and depression, and help her to fix her eyes on You, the author and finisher of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Grant her wisdom to manage her emotions and the side effects of her medication, and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement in the name of Jesus. Let her heart be filled with hope and her mind with Your promises. Remind her that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), and that her future is secure in Your hands.
Father, we ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
