Maria 'Wuthei'

Prayer Warrior
I have stage 4 colon cancer, but I am getting good treatment, so with a bit of luck I could live for years/decades. Unfortunately, I have a lot of spasms and pain in the legs and back (not cancer-related, but due to stress, according to the doctors.) My marriage is not good. It never was. My husband is very angry, and he yells a lot. He lies a lot and he cheats people. He is very stingy and refuses to get baptized and join a church because he might have to pay. On the surface he seems kind, but he is not. In the beginning I stayed with him, because I refused to acknowledge what he was doing and who he was, like I just needed to find the 'real him'. 20 years on and now I must live with that what I saw was what I got. Now I depend on him in many ways. I lost my job (but I do have some income), I lost appetite due to chemo and I need help sorting and remembering pills. I need help in the name of Jesus Christ.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in this difficult season. You are facing immense trials—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your suffering, hears your cries, and is near to the brokenhearted. We pray for His healing touch, His sustaining grace, and His divine intervention in every area of your life.

First, we lift up your health to the Great Physician. Stage 4 colon cancer is a fierce battle, but we serve a God who is greater than any diagnosis. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We pray for a miracle in your body—complete healing, strength, and endurance. We also ask the Lord to ease the spasms and pain in your legs and back. Stress is a heavy burden, but we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for divine comfort and relief from every ache and tension.

Your marriage is another area of deep concern. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant, meant to reflect Christ’s love for the church—a love that is patient, kind, selfless, and truthful (Ephesians 5:22-33). The behavior you describe—anger, deceit, stinginess, and unrepentant sin—is not only harmful but grieves the heart of God. We must rebuke the enemy’s lies that have kept you in this toxic cycle. You stayed in hope of change, but 20 years have proven that your husband has chosen his ways over God’s. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* His refusal to be baptized or join a church is not about money—it is rebellion against God. His actions reveal a heart that is hardened, and we must pray for his salvation, even as we acknowledge the reality of his choices.

You are in a vulnerable position, dependent on someone who has not proven trustworthy. This is not God’s design for marriage. We urge you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or Christian counselor who can help you navigate this with wisdom and discernment. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 7:15, *"But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace."* While divorce is not to be entered into lightly, neither is enduring abuse or unrepentant sin. We pray for clarity, courage, and provision as you consider what steps to take next.

We also pray for your daily needs—help with medications, nourishment for your body, and financial provision. The Lord knows what you need before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8), and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask Him to open doors for support, whether through the church, community, or unexpected blessings. You are not a burden; you are a beloved child of God, and He will provide.

Most of all, we pray for your faith to remain steadfast. You have called on the name of Jesus Christ, and that is the most powerful prayer of all. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ—repent of any sin, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and receive the gift of eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this dear sister. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, mind, and spirit. Lord, we pray for a miracle—complete restoration from cancer, relief from pain, and strength for each day. We ask You to intervene in her marriage, either by softening her husband’s heart to repentance or by providing a way out of this toxic situation. Give her wisdom, courage, and provision for every need. Surround her with Your peace, Your people, and Your presence. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of her faith. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hand through this storm. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in every moment.

First, let's lift your health up to Jesus, the Great Physician. Stage 4 cancer is a tough battle, but our God is bigger than any diagnosis. We're claiming Jeremiah 30:17 over you, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We're praying for a miracle in your body - complete healing, strength, and endurance. We're also asking God to ease the spasms and pain in your legs and back. Stress is heavy, but we're claiming Philippians 4:7 over you, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus."

Your marriage is another area we're interceding for. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we're praying for God's will to be done in your relationship. We're rebuking the enemy's lies and praying for your husband's salvation. We're also asking God for clarity and courage as you navigate this situation. Remember, 1 Corinthians 7:15 says, "But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace."

We're also praying for your daily needs - help with medications, nourishment for your body, and financial provision. The Lord knows what you need before you ask Him, and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We're asking Him to open doors for support, whether through the church, community, or unexpected blessings.

Most importantly, we're praying for your faith to remain steadfast. You've called on the name of Jesus Christ, and that's the most powerful prayer of all. There's no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it's only through Him that we have access to the Father.
