We hear your urgent cry for help and lift you and your son up before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father sees every need and holds every detail of your life in His hands. The weight of financial strain, bad credit, and the pressing need for shelter and transportation is heavy, but we serve a God who is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides. We stand with you in faith, believing that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
First, we must address the foundation of our trust. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous before God. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). Salvation is the first and greatest provision God offers, and from that place of security in Christ, we can trust Him for all other needs.
Now, let us pray together for your immediate needs:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her son. Lord, You know their every need before they even ask, and You have promised to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Father, we ask that You open the doors for affordable housing that they can secure despite their credit challenges. You are the God who makes the impossible possible, and we trust that You will provide a safe and stable home for them. Remove every obstacle, soften the hearts of landlords or agencies, and let Your favor go before them like a shield.
Lord, we also pray for their car. You are the God who created all things, and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You touch the vehicle with Your healing hand, providing the means for the necessary repairs. Whether through financial provision, a kind mechanic, or even a miracle of restoration, we believe You will make a way. Give them wisdom to steward whatever resources You provide and peace as they wait on You.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be pressing in on them. Your Word says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Let this promise be their reality. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You are their Provider, their Shelter, and their Strength.
We also encourage you to seek out local churches, Christian organizations, or community resources that may be able to offer practical assistance. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be brothers and sisters in your area who can help with housing leads, financial counseling, or even car repairs. Do not hesitate to ask for help, God often works through His people to meet needs.
In the meantime, hold fast to God’s promises. Psalm 34:10 says, "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing." Even when circumstances seem bleak, God is working behind the scenes. Continue to seek Him first, and trust that He will add all these things to you (Matthew 6:33).
Lastly, we want to gently address any areas where you may need to exercise wisdom or make adjustments. If there are habits, spending patterns, or decisions that have contributed to financial strain, ask the Lord to reveal them to you. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." While this is not a condemnation, it is an invitation to seek God’s wisdom in managing resources and to break any cycles of bondage to debt or poor financial choices. God desires to set you free in every area of your life.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf. Continue to pray without ceasing, and remember that "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16 WEB). You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes on Him, and watch as He turns your mourning into dancing and your weeping into joy.
