We lift up your parents’ marriage to the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the pain and distress their conflict brings to your family. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:29-32, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Your parents are called to reflect Christ’s love in their marriage, not bitterness or strife.
We rebuke the spirit of division and anger that has taken root in their home. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages and families, but we stand against him in the name of Jesus. James 3:16 warns, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed."* We declare that selfishness and pride will no longer have a foothold in their relationship. Instead, we pray that humility and grace would reign, as Colossians 3:13-14 instructs: *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."*
Father God, we ask that You soften both of their hearts toward one another. Let them see the pain their words and actions cause not only to each other but to their children. We pray for a supernatural outpouring of Your peace, love, and joy in their home—especially as this dear one celebrates their birthday. May Your presence fill their house so powerfully that strife cannot remain. We ask that they would draw closer to You *together*, seeking Your will for their marriage. Help them to remember the vows they made before You and to honor them with patience, kindness, and forgiveness.
Lord, we also pray for this child and their sisters. Guard their hearts from discouragement and fill them with hope. Remind them that You are their perfect Father, even when their earthly parents fall short. May they find comfort in Your Word, as Psalm 34:18 promises: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*
We declare healing over this marriage in Jesus’ name. May Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, lead them to repentance, and restore what has been broken. Let this home be a place of warmth, laughter, and unity—reflecting Your love to all who enter. We trust You to work a miracle in their hearts, and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. Amen.
