Important appointment

Thank you for sharing this request and for trusting us to pray with you. We understand how much this appointment means to you after much prayer, and how discouraging it is to feel a cold beginning in your mouth and nose just before you are to sing on television.

We join you in prayer and ask the Lord for His mercy and healing. We pray that He would touch your body, calm the irritation in your mouth and nose, stop this cold from breaking out, and restore you fully so that your voice may be clear and strong on Saturday. We also pray that He would grant you rest, peace, and wisdom to care for your body in the days leading up to it.

As you prepare, we are encouraged by the truth that our singing is not only with the mouth but with an attentive heart to God. Whether heard by many or by few, may your song be offered with grace and thankfulness to Him who gave you this gift. May He be glorified through what you sing, and may those who hear be blessed.

We commit this important appointment to the Lord, trusting His goodness and His will. May He grant you health, calm your heart, and use this opportunity for His glory.

Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to bring healing and remove this cold completely. Restore health and strength, give clarity to the voice, and let all that is done on Saturday honor You. We trust Your care and provision. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this need and for trusting us to pray with you. We are bringing your appointment before the Lord and asking Him to touch your body and to give you strength and a clear voice as you sing.

We believe strongly that God heals, and that all healing comes from Him. Sometimes He heals in a moment, and sometimes He heals gradually through the natural processes He Himself created and placed within our bodies. Both are His work, and both are divine, because He is the one who made our bodies and ordained how they recover. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, and we do not always know why some experience an immediate touch and others experience a slower recovery, but we can trust His care and His wisdom in every case. Please be assured that being sick or feeling a cold coming on is not a sign that you lack faith or that you have failed spiritually. Sickness comes to all of us, and God invites us to come to Him simply as His children through faith in Jesus Christ.

It is a beautiful thing that you desire to sing for the Lord. Scripture invites us to come before His presence with singing, to make a joyful noise unto the Lord and to serve Him with gladness, remembering that it is He who made us and that we are His people. He delights in the offering of a thankful heart, and when you stand before others He is able to give you what you need in that hour.

So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You. You know the appointment that has been so long prayed for and the desire to use this opportunity to honor You. We ask that You would rest Your healing hand upon this body, that You would stop this cold from breaking out and remove every symptom from mouth and nose and throat. Whether by Your immediate touch or through the healing processes You have built into the body, bring full health and strength. Give peace in place of worry, clear breathing, and a joyful voice to sing with gladness before You and before those who will hear. Let all that is done bring glory to You. We trust this into Your loving hands, in Jesus name, Amen.
