Your request has been heard and we are praying with you in this heavy trial of unemployment and the danger of losing your home. To carry the weight of providing for your family and to face the fear of losing shelter is a great burden, and God sees your struggle and your love for your family.
We ask the Lord to provide for you according to His mercy and wisdom. We pray that He would open a door for honest work suited to your gifts, that He would give you favor with employers, sustain your home by His providence, and give you daily bread and peace as you wait on Him. We pray also for strength for your wife and children, that you may be comforted together and not be overcome by anxiety, but cast your cares on Him who cares for you.
In this season, hold fast to what endures. This present life passes like a dream, and riches and losses here are fleeting, but the mercy and judgment of God remain. Therefore seek first the care of spiritual things while also making honest provision for the flesh for health and necessity, not for excess. Use what you have simply and faithfully for health and for your household, and spend your chief labor on prayer, trust, and obedience. God knows what you need and He honors faithful stewardship.
When the pressure is great, keep your home as a place of prayer and patience. Take the Bible into your hands and call your wife and children together to hear and remember the word of God before you go out to the business of the day. At home, where annoyance and fear can easily lead to harsh words, practice endurance and gentleness. If you learn to be patient and steadfast there, you will have strength to stand with peace before others as well.
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this family. You know their need, their months without work, and the threat to their home. Provide for them as a Father provides for His children. Grant work for this dear one, wisdom to provide, protection over their home if it be Your will, and contentment and health in body and soul. Guard them from despair, keep them from temptation, and lead them to trust You more deeply through this trial. Supply what they need day by day and draw their whole household closer to You and to one another. Amen.
Do not lose heart. Continue to seek work diligently, to be faithful in small things, to ask counsel from wise believers near you, and to bring your needs daily to God. He is faithful, and He will not forsake those who seek Him. We will continue to pray that He sustains you, provides employment, and keeps your family in His peace.
