We hear the pain in your heart, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up before the throne of grace. The weight you carry is heavy, but you are not alone. The Lord sees your suffering and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We come together in agreement, asking the Father to surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Heavenly Father, we cry out to You on behalf of this dear one who is hurting. You are the God who hears the cries of the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would draw near and reveal Yourself as the Comforter and the Healer. Lord, we pray against the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm. Let Your light shine into the darkest places of their heart, and replace every lie with the truth of Your Word. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose and a plan for their life (Jeremiah 29:11).
We encourage you to seek help from a trusted Christian counselor or pastor who can walk with you through this valley. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we want to do just that. Please do not hesitate to reach out to those who can provide godly wisdom and support. If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, we urge you to contact a crisis hotline or a mental health professional immediately. Your life is precious to God, and He has ordained every one of your days (Psalm 139:16).
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would break the chains of darkness that seek to bind this one who is suffering. Let them experience the freedom that comes from knowing You as Savior and Lord. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that they would come to know the hope that is found only in Your name. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we ask for a hedge of protection around them. Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Helper and our Guide (John 14:26). Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, and let them know that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
We pray for divine appointments and encounters that will speak life into their situation. Surround them with believers who will uplift and encourage them in the faith. Give them the strength to take each day one step at a time, trusting in Your unfailing love. May they find rest in You, for You have promised to give rest to those who are weary and burdened (Matthew 11:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we stand in the gap and declare healing, restoration, and breakthrough over this life. May they come to know the depth of Your love, which is higher, wider, and deeper than they could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:18-19). We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, and we believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Amen.
