I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this

Beloved of All
A few months ago, I posted some prayer intentions on this site, for which many people on this site have prayed for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. However, things have not changed and my situation has worsened to the extent that my faith is hanging by a thread and I now want to die. I don't think life is worth living anymore, I feel like my whole insides are on fire because I'm in so much pain. I'm so ashamed that everyone else is moving on with their lives but me that I want to die. I've cried out to God to send me help because I know it's the result of demonic oppression, but nothing. I feel like the woman who was crippled for 18 years by a spirit of oppression. Imagine that if Jesus didn't take upon Himself to help her, she would have thought that she was suffering from a disease. And yet, there was a demonic influence behind her plight. So please, pray for me!

We are truly heartbroken to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are grateful that you have reached out to us again for prayer and support. We are here to stand with you in this difficult time, and we believe that God is still working in your life, even if it may not feel like it right now.

Firstly, we want to address the feelings of hopelessness and suicide that you mentioned. We want to remind you that God has a purpose for your life, and that purpose is not yet finished. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Remember that even in your darkest moments, God is still thinking good thoughts toward you.

We also want to address the feeling of shame that you mentioned. It is important to remember that everyone has their own journey and their own timeline. Just because others may seem to be moving forward does not mean that you are being left behind. In Galatians 6:4, it says, But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.

Regarding the demonic oppression that you mentioned, we want to remind you that God is more powerful than any demonic force. In Luke 10:19, Jesus says, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you. We will pray that God will deliver you from this oppression and that He will surround you with His protection.

We also want to encourage you to keep crying out to God, even if it feels like nothing is happening. In Luke 18:1, it says, He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up. Remember that God hears your prayers and that He is working in your life, even if you cannot see it right now.

Finally, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and to invite Him into your life. We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring the reality of Jesus Christ to your heart and mind.

Father God, we lift up our dear friend to You right now, and we ask that You would surround them with Your love and Your peace. We pray that You would deliver them from this demonic oppression and that You would heal their body and their mind. We ask that You would give them the strength to keep fighting, and that You would remind them of the purpose that You have for their life. We pray that You would bring people into their life to support them and to encourage them, and we ask that You would give us the wisdom and the compassion to stand with them in this difficult time. We thank You for the promises in Your word, and we claim them over our friend right now. In Jesus name, we pray.

Please know that we are standing with you in prayer, and that we believe that God is going to turn this situation around for your good. Keep holding on, and keep trusting in God, even when it is difficult. We are here for you, and we are believing with you for a miracle.

If you are feeling suicidal, we strongly urge you to seek help immediately. You can call a local hotline or speak to a mental health professional. Your life is valuable, and there are people who care about you and want to help.

Oh, dear friend, we're here with you, feeling your pain and understanding your despair. It's like you're in a dark, fiery pit, and it feels like no one can hear your cries. But we want you to know, we hear you, and more importantly, God hears you. He sees your tears, He knows your heartache, and He's not surprised by your feelings. In fact, He's been waiting for you to cry out to Him, just like He waited for the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48). He wants to meet you in your pain and heal you.

We understand that it might feel like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling, but remember, God's timing is not our timing. He's working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, God tells Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God doesn't promise to take away the pain, but He promises to be with you in it, to give you the strength to endure.

We're not going to tell you that everything will be okay tomorrow, because we don't know what tomorrow holds. But we do know who holds tomorrow. We know the One who promises to never leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We know the One who promises to work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We know the One who promises to give you beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for despair (Isaiah 61:3).

So, dear friend, keep crying out to God. Keep fighting. Keep trusting. We're here with you, praying for you, believing with you. And if you feel like you can't fight anymore, please reach out to a professional. Your life is a gift, and it's worth fighting for.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for your kind words! I am being left behind, it is not a feeling, it is a reality.

When I was a child, we studied The Parable of the Day Laborers. At the end of the lesson, my classmates, 7-8 year old girls, who were jealous because I was top of the class, said to me “Did you hear that? The first will be last.” Several decades later, a Muslim woman whom I thought was a sister and whom I had met at university, used the same phrase to taunt me because I couldn't find a job: “You see, that's how it is in life: the first in school are the last in life. You're naive”. She threw these words in my face because I had advised her, when faced with a situation in which she was accusing someone without proof, to put her trust in God and let Him act. I said nothing, thanking God for revealing to me what a snake she was. I smiled inwardly and said to myself, “Don't you know that the words you're throwing in my face are the teachings of Christ? Do you think you can hurt me or 'curse' me with the words of my Lord?”. And yet, almost 10 years after that exchange, I'm still standing on the sidelines, while this woman has fulfilled all her dreams and more! So I ask myself, “What good has it done me to follow God, to stick to my integrity and His Word?” I feel betrayed and humiliated. Do you think Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would have persevered in their faith without public signs of God's support?

I keep thinking about Naomi who, after 10 years abroad, came back home without nothing to show for it and asked to be called Mara. It may not be very Christ-like of me but at this point of my life, God's word is not enough of a sustenance for me anymore. I need actions. I am not demanding (or maybe I am) but as flawed and full of sins as I am, I do need reassurance that translated into undeniable interventions from God.

Thank you! I have been listening to sung Psalms all the day while looking for a job. It helps bettering my mood from time to time and keeping the bad thoughts at bay.

Or at least start cutting again. It’s been months, no years I’ve prayed about this. There’s no point. I always want to kill myself. It’ll never get better. I just want to die. Or bleed. Or just rot away until I disappear.
