I’m not sure where to go?

Disciple of Prayer
Please prayer warriors intercede on my behalf my name is ### I left family due to issues and arguments and I’m not sure where God is leading me I chose a specific place because it felt right not but now I just am not really sure please pray for me for stable place to live and somewhere I am welcome because I will be going back to finish my degree this fall that’s the goal but I want to be in a good place for me.

We hear your heart, dear brother/sister in Christ, and we lift you up in prayer before our Heavenly Father. It’s clear you’re seeking God’s will in this season of transition, and we stand with you, asking the Lord to make His path plain before you. The uncertainty you feel is understandable, but we know that God does not lead us into confusion, He orders our steps (Proverbs 16:9). You mentioned choosing a place because it "felt right," and while emotions can be part of discernment, we must always test them against Scripture and prayer. Have you sought the Lord in fasting and stillness, asking Him to confirm or redirect your steps? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also want to gently encourage you to examine the roots of the conflict with your family. While it’s sometimes necessary to create boundaries for peace or godliness (Matthew 10:34-36), Scripture calls us to pursue reconciliation where possible (Romans 12:18). Have you asked the Lord to reveal any unforgiveness or pride in your heart that may need repentance? Even if reconciliation isn’t immediate, we can release bitterness to God and trust Him to work in all parties’ hearts.

Now, let us pray for you:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister , lifting up their need for clarity, provision, and belonging. Lord, You are the Good Shepherd who leads Your sheep beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). We ask You to make Your will unmistakably clear regarding where should live and study. Provide a stable, welcoming place, one that fosters peace, godly community, and focus for their degree. Father, we also pray for wisdom in their family relationships. Soften hearts, heal wounds, and let Your love cover any offenses. If there is sin in ’s life contributing to this strife, reveal it and grant repentance. Above all, draw closer to You in this season. Remind them that You are their refuge (Psalm 91:2) and that Your plans for them are for good (Jeremiah 29:11). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen."

As you move forward, dear one, cling to the promise in Philippians 4:19: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that the God who called you to finish your degree will equip you with everything required, spiritually, practically, and relationally. Seek out a local church body where you can plug in, as fellowship is vital for encouragement and accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25). If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to campus ministries or Christian student groups at your school, they can be a tremendous support.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of grounding all our prayers and decisions in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you’ve never surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him. This is the foundation for every other decision in life.

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord goes before you, and we will continue to stand in the gap for you. Keep seeking Him with all your heart.

Leaving a difficult family situation takes courage, and it makes perfect sense that now you're second-guessing your next step. When we've made a choice that "felt right" and then the feeling fades, it can leave us unsettled. Actually, that's a common experience when we're trying to hear God's direction: our inner sense can swing, but his steady care doesn't.

We're holding you in prayer, not only for a stable place to live and a welcoming community, but for a settled peace right in the middle of the not-knowing. One thing that helps in seasons like this is to talk it through with a wise, trusted person (maybe a pastor or a mentor from your church) who can listen and help you sift through your options without pressure. Sometimes God uses another believer's insight to confirm a nudge or gently redirect it. Meanwhile, keep bringing your questions to Jesus, he's not troubled by your "I'm not sure." He walks with you while you wait.

We're asking him to open the right door for you as you head back to finish your degree this fall. May he lead you to a place that's safe, peaceful, and good for your soul, somewhere you're truly welcome and can thrive.

Jesus, we lift our sister to you. She's taken a brave step, and now she feels the ground shifting. Calm her heart, and give her clear, quiet nudges she can trust. Provide a home where she's received, and friends who become family. Guard her as she pursues her studies, and let her own story of your faithfulness grow through all of this. We ask it in your name, Jesus.

You are not sure where to go, but there is One who is the Way, and He bids you come. The Lord Jesus welcomed the multitudes though they came from low motives, and He will welcome you. Let no inward doubt whisper that you are cast off; His promise stands eternal, "Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." You left family amid strife, and now your path seems hidden, but the Shepherd of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is not a hard master who turns away the weary; when you come, He does not search you with cold suspicion, but throws wide the door and says, "Come and welcome!"

You long for a stable place to live, a spot where you are received. The soul's only true stability is a living, loving, lasting union with Jesus Christ. If you are vitally joined to Him, you carry your home within you, for the High and Lofty One inhabits the humble heart. Quit measuring your acceptance by the welcome of men; the Master of the feast has bid you sit at His table, and who can unseat you? He will teach you as His own pupil, even unto gray hairs, and lead you through every bewildering crossway.

Your desire to finish your degree is good, but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things shall be added. He who has taught you from your youth will complete His lessons. The water of life is for you, not for the perfect, but for the thirsty. Come, then, to this Fountain freely; you cannot be too bold with His grace. The feeling that a place "felt right" may ebb, but the faithful Promiser abides. Rest not in your own impressions, but in the word of Him who cannot lie. He will make you welcome, and in His house you shall find the welcome of a Father who never casts out a returning child.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you say you chose a place because it felt right but now you are not sure, consider this: feelings are like the sea, now calm, now tempestuous. Our Lord walked upon the sea as upon a pavement, and He alone commands the waves. To build your steps on what merely feels right is to build on the shifting sand. Yet do not despair at your uncertainty, for God often permits such doubt so that we cease trusting in our own judgment and learn to cast ourselves entirely upon Him.

You left your family because of issues and arguments. Examine this honestly before the Lord. Was it the friction of righteousness clashing with worldliness, or was it the common strife of impatience and pride? The Scripture does not command us to flee every disagreement, but to bear with one another in love. If the breach came from your own irritation, then the stable place you seek must begin within your own soul, practicing patience and meekness. Begin at home with the small things, as I have often urged: master your tongue, subdue your temper, and you will find yourself at home wherever God places you.

Do not trust in uncertain riches or in the security of a particular address. The rich of this world trust in what is instantly transferable; the wise store up treasure in heaven and lean upon God, who is the Author of all stability. Seek a place where you can live in the light, not in the darkness of isolation or secrecy, for the thief works in the night, but the children of the day walk openly and without shame.

The church is the common home of all. There the presbyter labors for you, the teacher toils, and peace is pronounced upon all who enter. Wherever you go, find your welcome first among the faithful who gather in Christ's name. Do not merely look for a room or a roof, but for a community that will hold you accountable in love and support your pursuit of godliness alongside your degree.

Pray, then, not chiefly for a place, but for a heart prepared for any place God appoints. He knows you need shelter and welcome, and He is not indifferent to your practical needs. But His mercy often works through uncertainty, so that we learn to watch and pray, knowing that the Day of the Lord and the events of our own lives come upon us when we least expect. Let this season of not knowing drive you to your knees, not to anxiety. If you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, the stable place will be added to you in His time and in His way.

Leaving family because of conflict is painful, and I ache with you over that rupture. But do not let the uncertainty of this season convince you that God has lost track of you. Remember this: the Son of God entered the world in a manger, a feeding trough in a stable where animals were kept. That was not a place anyone would have chosen. It was raw, unglamorous, inconvenient. Yet the stable became the very spot where heaven touched earth. God often does His deepest work in the places we did not plan, in the in-between times when nothing feels settled. You chose a place because it “felt right,” and now you are not sure. That is not necessarily failure; it may be the beginning of wisdom. Feelings alone are not a compass, but your unrest can drive you to the One who is.

The Scriptures show us a pattern we should not ignore. When Ezra prepared to lead a group across miles of desolate wilderness, he did not immediately set out just because the direction seemed urgent. He called for a fast, so they might humble themselves before God and seek step-by-step guidance. The same practice appears among the believers in the New Testament. Even when the general direction is clear, wisdom waits. It is dangerous to leap into action fueled by anxiety or restlessness. I encourage you to press pause and give yourself to prayer, perhaps even with fasting, asking the Lord not just for a place to live, but for his clear, unfolding direction.

Think about Peter after the resurrection. His future was completely foggy. He knew Jesus was alive, but the kingdom still seemed uncertain, and restlessness overtook him. So he announced, “I’m going fishing.” That was his old trade, the familiar thing he could control. But Christ had not told him to go fishing. He had told him to wait. When Peter acted on his own impulse, the night yielded nothing until Jesus intervened. Later, the Lord pressed him with a searching question: “Do you love me more than these?” Perhaps “these” were the fish, his livelihood, the sense of security that came from doing something he understood. Jesus was not dismissing the need to work and eat; he was reordering Peter’s loves. Where does Christ fit among the things you most want, a stable home, a welcoming environment, the degree you plan to finish this fall? Those are not wrong desires, but they must sit beneath a deeper love. If you love him first and keep his commandments, everything else will find its right place.

So rather than rush toward the place that once felt right, or abandon the goal of your education in despair, let this be a season of waiting and listening. The leftover silver from the temple sacrifices was to be used “as it seems right” only after the people had waited on God. Seek his face. Ask him to show you not merely a room, but a location where you can also be fed spiritually, a church where his Word is taught clearly and you are welcomed among his people, where your soul can be stable even while your housing remains temporary. The Lord who was laid in a stable is not afraid of humble beginnings; he is able to prepare a place for you that will be good for your entire being.

Your family conflict echoes something David knew well. Fleeing from a rebellion inside his own house, he cried out, “Lord, how are they increased that trouble me!” Yet in that very song he declared that God was his shield and the lifter of his head. Let those words be yours. I will be praying with you that the Lord calms your heart, grants you clear direction step by step, and leads you to a dwelling where you are truly welcome, a place that supports both your earthly studies and your walk with Christ. Do not hurry. He will not let you slip.
