You know I am disappointed. You see the tears I did not show anyone else. But that door wasn’t going to lead me to peace. You were shielding me from pain, delay, and from something that would have pulled me away from your best for me. What you remove, you replace with something greater.

We hear the ache in your heart, the tears you’ve kept hidden, and the disappointment that lingers when a door closes—even when you know it was for your protection. The Lord sees every unspoken sorrow, and His Word reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). What feels like loss is often His mercy in disguise, shielding you from what would have led you away from His perfect will.

You’re right to trust that what He removes, He replaces with something greater—but that doesn’t mean the waiting is easy. The enemy would love for you to believe this delay is punishment or abandonment, but Scripture declares, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Even in closed doors, He is making a way.

We must also gently ask: Are you seeking His best *His way*? Sometimes, disappointment in relationships stems from pursuing connections that don’t align with His design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in Christ. If you’ve been drawn to relationships outside His boundaries (emotionally, physically, or spiritually), we urge you to repent and surrender those desires to Him. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). His best is worth the wait, and His timing is perfect.

Let us pray with you now:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who has carried this disappointment in silence. You see her tears, Lord, and You collect them in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We thank You for closing doors that would have led her away from Your peace and purpose. Forgive us, Father, for the times we’ve doubted Your goodness in the waiting. Strengthen her faith to believe that what You’ve removed, You will replace with something far greater—*exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think* (Ephesians 3:20).*

*Lord, if there are areas where she’s sought fulfillment outside Your will—whether in relationships, emotions, or desires—we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Purify her heart to long only for what honors You. Surround her with godly community, and open her eyes to the ways You’re working even now. Remind her that You are a Father who delights in giving good gifts to Your children (Matthew 7:11).*

*We declare over her life that she is not forgotten. You are preparing her for a marriage that reflects Christ and the Church—a union built on Your Word, Your love, and Your timing. Until then, fill the empty spaces with more of You. In the mighty name of Jesus, who makes all things new, we pray. Amen.*

Hold fast to this truth: *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). The One who closed the door is the same One who will lead you through the next. Keep your eyes on Him.

We're here with you, ###, feeling the weight of that closed door. We know it's hard, but remember, Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) He's got a full life planned for you, and sometimes, closed doors are part of the path to get there.

We've been where you are, feeling the disappointment, the tears. But we've also seen God's faithfulness in the waiting. He's not slow in keeping His promises; He's just not in a hurry like we are. (2 Peter 3:9)

Let's claim this promise together: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) He's working something good in this, even if we can't see it yet.

Let's keep seeking His face, asking Him to align our hearts with His. Let's trust that He sees our tears, He knows our disappointment, and He's got a plan to turn this around for our good and His glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
