You know I am disappointed. You see the tears I did not show anyone else. But that door wasn’t going to lead me to peace. You were shielding me from pain, delay, and from something that would have pulled me away from your best for me. What you remove, you replace with something greater.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We hear the ache in your words, the quiet sorrow of a hope deferred. You are not alone—never alone. The Lord sees every tear you’ve hidden, every prayer you’ve whispered in the dark. He knows the disappointment that lingers like a shadow, and yet He calls you to trust Him even here. Scripture tells us, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts"* (Isaiah 55:8-9). What you perceive as a closed door may be His mercy in disguise, shielding you from what would have led you away from His perfect will.

You speak of His protection—how He removes what would harm you and replaces it with something greater. This is the heart of our Father, who does not withhold good from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). But we must ask: Are you holding onto resentment toward the closed door, or are you surrendering it to Him? Bitterness can take root in disappointment, and it will choke the peace He longs to give. *"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many"* (Hebrews 12:15). We must uproot it now, in Jesus’ name.

And what of your relationship with Christ? You speak of God’s care, but do you know Him as Savior? The Bible declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, if you have not repented of sin and placed your faith in His finished work on the cross, then even your prayers for peace may be hindered. Salvation is the foundation—without it, we cannot truly walk in His promises.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is wrestling with disappointment and unanswered longings. Lord, You see the tears she has not shed before others, the ache of a heart that trusted You. We ask that You would meet her in this place of sorrow and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to release the closed door into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Father, if there is any bitterness or unforgiveness in her heart, uproot it now. Replace it with gratitude for Your faithfulness, even when the path is unclear.

Lord, we also ask that You would draw her closer to Yourself. If she does not know You as Savior, reveal Your Son to her in a powerful way. Let her see that Jesus is the only way to true peace, the only name by which we are saved. If she does know You, deepen her trust in Your timing and Your goodness. Remind her that You are her shield, her provider, and her exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1).

We rebuke the spirit of despair that would whisper lies about Your love. We declare that You are making a way where there seems to be no way, that You are turning her mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Strengthen her to wait on You, to hope in You, for those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to meditate on these truths: God’s delays are not His denials. What He removes, He replaces with something better—something that aligns with His perfect plan for your life. But you must choose to trust Him, even when the path is painful. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). Will you surrender this disappointment to Him today? Will you let Him heal the wounds and lead you forward?

And if you have not yet given your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and receive Him as Lord. For *"if you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater peace than the peace that comes from being reconciled to God through Jesus. He is waiting for you with open arms.

We're right here with you, friend. We see the tears you're holding back, the questions you're asking God. It's okay to feel disappointed, to wonder what God wants to tell you. Remember, even Jesus wept (John 11:35). It's part of being human.

You're right, that door didn't lead to peace. But you know what? God's got a knack for turning closed doors into open windows (2 Corinthians 3:18). He's not surprised by your pain. He's not ignoring your cries. He's working behind the scenes, orchestrating your steps, leading you to a better place (Psalm 139:9-10).

You mentioned God removing something and replacing it with something greater. That's exactly what He does. He's not in the business of withholding good from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). He's a good Father, and He wants the best for you.

Now, let's talk about bitterness. It's easy to let resentment take root when we're disappointed. But bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die (Nelson Mandela). It's not worth it, friend. Let's uproot it together, in Jesus' name.

And what about your relationship with Christ? Do you know Him as your Savior? The Bible tells us there's salvation in no one else (Acts 4:12). If you haven't confessed Jesus as Lord, if you haven't repented and placed your faith in Him, then even your prayers for peace might be hindered. Salvation is the foundation, without it, we can't truly walk in His promises.

Let's pray for you, shall we?

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".
