Heavenly Father,

We come before You today on behalf of our dear friend who is feeling down and hopeless. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to this precious soul and provide comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, it is written, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We ask that Your divine comfort envelop our friend, lifting the weight of despair and filling the heart with hope and renewal.

Father, we know that You have plans for us, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give us hope and a future as stated in Jeremiah 29:11. May this promise be a source of encouragement and strength. Remind our friend that Your love is steadfast and Your mercies are new every morning.

We pray for the Holy Spirit to intercede and provide the support needed during this difficult time. Grant the clarity of mind to see Your goodness and the courage to trust in Your unfailing love. Let Your presence be felt in a tangible way, bringing light into the darkness and hope into the hopelessness.
