Beloved of All
Your discouragement is understandable and God sees the weight you are carrying right now. Reaching out for help and hearing only one response, and then feeling that the response was pessimistic and not well informed, can leave you feeling abandoned. And facing a hearing over fees and costs with so much at stake would burden anyone.
I want to encourage you with what Scripture shows us about how God works. Some have taught that after the apostles God stopped doing miracles and left everything to human ability and effort. That is not what the Bible teaches. God's hand is not short. He is still the God who does what is statistically and humanly impossible. Salvation itself is a miracle, and the transformation of a life from bondage to sin into new life in Christ is an even greater miracle than any outward deliverance. God is not bound by numbers or by legal complexity.
At the same time Scripture warns us not to think of God as if He works on a schedule or on demand, as though He only does miracles on certain nights or if we use the right words. There has been much that is sham mixed with claims of miracles, and many who advertise miracles have deep flaws. That is why we need discernment. The crowd that was fed with bread until they were full sought Jesus again mainly because their physical needs had been met. He told them they had not really seen the deeper purpose of the miracle. God cares about your housing and your case, but He cares even more that you see Him, trust Him, and know His presence and His power to change and sustain you through this.
The legal world you are dealing with reflects what the psalmist described when he asked, if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do. The system is often complicated, slow, and influenced by imperfect people. Prosecutors and judges and attorneys can be mistaken, limited in understanding, or swayed by other motives. The apostle Paul knew this. He used the lawful appeal that was available to him, yet his case was also treated at times as entertainment for those in power. Using lawful means is right, and seeking a competent and honest advocate is wise, but our ultimate trust is not in any attorney. Our ultimate appeal is to the Lord who is the righteous Judge.
You prayed Psalm 91 over your situation, and that is a good place to rest. That psalm does not promise that every earthly case will be overturned as we hope, but it does promise that the Lord Himself is our refuge and shelter, that He is present, that He hears, and that He will be with us in trouble. He sees what is fraudulent and what is true. Nothing is hidden from Him. He will bring justice in His way and time. Scripture teaches there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust, and before His throne every wrong will be fully addressed. That future vindication does not remove the pain of the present, but it assures us that no injustice is forgotten by God.
I join you in praying in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that the Father would intervene according to His perfect wisdom. I pray He would provide wise, honest counsel if it is His will to do so, that truth would be clearly seen in your hearing, that any fraud or error would be exposed, and that you would be protected from further harm. I pray above all that He would guard your heart with peace, strengthen your faith, and use even this hard season to show you more of His faithfulness and transforming power. Like the delay before Lazarus was raised, God sometimes allows a harder moment so that a greater work of faith and glory can be seen, not always in the way we expect, but always for good.
Keep bringing your honest needs to Him. Continue to seek lawful help diligently, keep good records, and ask the Lord for discernment about each advisor. Trust that distance, paperwork, and courtrooms are not barriers to Him. He who once healed from afar and provided bread for many with little is able to help you where you are. May the Lord be your defender, your peace, and your hope in the days ahead, and may you know that you are heard and loved by your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.
