ill intention biological father and his nasty plots

Sometimes my biological father and I would get into a fight, and later on he would intentionally try to murder me and make it look accidental. Oftenly he would cite exodus 20:12 probably to justify what he's doing. Not only that he would jinx, wish me ill, and steal some of my things from time to time. He is also a very devious, mischievious gaslighter who tried to ruin whatever effort I put into my personal projects. Yesterday while I was away he turned off my fridge, probably to ruin whatever food I will consume next morning. Please pray for him, lately he couldnt sleep so he's been very sick mentally. I think he needs a lot of therapy. In Jesus name Amen.

We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in prayer over this very serious and painful situation with your biological father. What you are describing is not a small family conflict, but a pattern of sin that puts your life and well being in danger, and we take that very seriously before the Lord.

We want to address first how he is using Exodus 20:12 to justify his actions. That verse says Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12. This command is about children showing respect and care, it is never a license for a father to harm, steal from, deceive, or attempt to murder his child. To use it that way is a twisting of God's Word. In fact God gives a direct command to fathers, Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 and again Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged. Colossians 3:21. A father is called to protect and nurture, not to provoke, gaslight, or destroy.

What you describe, intentionally trying to make harm look accidental, wishing you ill and jinxing you, stealing your things, turning off your fridge to spoil your food, gaslighting and sabotaging your personal projects, are all contrary to God's commands. God says You shall not murder. Exodus 20:13 and You shall not steal. Exodus 20:15 and Yahweh detests lying lips. Proverbs 12:22. To curse or wish ill on another is also sin, for we are told Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse. Romans 12:14 and Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. We rebuke these actions in the name of Jesus, they are wicked and they grieve the heart of God, and your father will be accountable to God for them. Vengeance belongs to God, as it is written Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19, so we must not take revenge ourselves but trust God to bring justice and conviction.

We also hear that you are trying to honor God by praying for him even while you are being hurt, and that is Christlike. At the same time, honoring your father does not mean remaining in danger or allowing abuse to continue. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2. If your life is being threatened or you are being harmed, we strongly encourage you to seek safety right away. Please reach out to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian leader, other safe family members, and where there is danger to your life or property, to the proper authorities. If you are living in the same home, please seek a safe place to stay and do not be alone with him when he is threatening. Document what is happening, keep your food and belongings as secure as you can, and seek godly counsel and wise help for boundaries. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. You do not have to carry this alone.

We are also concerned for your father's soul and mind. You shared he cannot sleep and is very sick mentally. That is a sign he needs both spiritual and practical help. We will pray for his repentance, healing and deliverance, and we encourage that he be urged toward professional help and pastoral counseling if he is willing, but only in a way that keeps you safe. Only God can change a heart, and we pray He will convict him deeply of his sin and bring him to true repentance.

We lift you both before the Father now together.

We pray, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we come to You for our brother or sister who is suffering under these plots and deceptions. Lord, You see every hidden act, every attempt to harm and make it look accidental, every stolen item, every lie and manipulation, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask You to be a wall of protection around Your child. Cover them with Your presence, guard their body, their mind, their food, their home and their work. Give them wisdom to set godly boundaries and to find safe refuge, and bring trustworthy people around them who will help and advocate for them. Heal their heart from fear and confusion, and give them Your perfect peace and sound sleep, for You give sleep to Your beloved. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We also lift this father to You, Lord. We ask that You convict him of his sin, that You break through the hardness, anger, deceit and illness in his mind. Forgive him and lead him to repentance, Lord, that he may turn from murderous thoughts, theft, cursing and gaslighting, and be transformed by Your mercy. Heal his body and mind, restore his sleep, and bring him to soundness and truth. We pray that You would remove any influence of evil cursing or ill wishing and let Your light expose every dark plot. Bring him to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to You. We ask that if he refuses to repent, You will restrain his hands from further harm and bring justice according to Your perfect will.

Lord, teach our dear one how to honor You above all, to obey You rather than men when obedience to a parent would mean enduring sin against them, and to walk in forgiveness without returning to danger. Help them to love their enemy through prayer while also walking in wisdom and truth. Let them know how deeply You love them and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We trust You as our refuge and fortress.

We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our peace. Amen.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

Thank you for telling us what you have been carrying at home. Living with fear that someone might harm you, take your things, or deliberately undermine your efforts is exhausting, and what you describe with your biological father sounds very heavy and frightening to face. We also hear your compassion in asking prayer for him as he struggles with sleep and distress.

We want to encourage you not to walk through this alone. It can help to talk soon with someone you trust and with a professional who understands family safety, such as a counselor, pastor, or local support service, who can help you think through steps for your protection and for making clear decisions. Having another trusted person aware of what is happening can make a real difference for your safety and peace of mind. If your father is open to it, encouraging him to see a medical or mental health professional alongside prayer would be a caring next step for him as well.

We are holding you both in prayer and we care about your safety and dignity.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Cover this person with Your protection and give wisdom for each decision ahead. Bring safety and calm where there has been fear and hurt, and guide his father toward trustworthy help and healing. Lead them both to the right support and keep them in Your care. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and brought before the Lord with care and sorrow for all you have endured. To live under threat and cunning unkindness in your own home, to have food and belongings tampered with and to feel unsafe where you should be safe, is a heavy affliction. It is right that you have asked for prayer, and we join you in praying both for your protection and for the soul of your father.

You mention that he cites Exodus 20:12, honour thy father and thy mother. That command is holy, but it never gives a father leave to harm his child, nor does it require a child to remain exposed to murderous intent or to call evil good. Honour does not mean to endure violence without seeking help or to pretend that wrong is right. The Scripture also says, fathers provoke not your children, and it everywhere condemns shedding of innocent blood and deceit. What you describe, attempts to make harm look accidental, stealing, cursing and gaslighting, are sins against God and against you.

We pray for you first, that the Lord will be your refuge and your guard. There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ, and that forgiveness is full and free to all who come to Him, as the word says, there is forgiveness. That same Lord Jesus is also your healer. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue for wounded hearts and troubled minds. May the Father as He is truly revealed in Christ be known to you not as a source of dread, but as blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose love is equal to the love of the Son and who deals with His children according to His riches in glory. He sees what is done in secret, He will not despise your trembling prayer, and He is able to keep you.

Forgiveness through the blood of Christ does not mean that wrong is excused or that you must live without boundaries. If you are in danger, please seek safety without delay. Tell a trusted pastor, a mature family member or a counselor, and if your life is threatened, seek help from those appointed to protect, including local authorities or a safe shelter. Keep a record of what has happened, keep food and important belongings secured where you can, and do not remain alone with one who has threatened your life. The Lord often heals and protects by the hands of others He places around us.

We also pray for your biological father as you asked. We do not ask God to bless his plots or his unkindness, but we ask God to bring him to see his sin, to grant him repentance and true forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. We pray that the sleeplessness and sickness of mind you describe would lead him not deeper into hardness but to cry out for mercy, to receive both spiritual help and the therapy and medical care he needs. May God take away the heart that devises mischief and give a new heart that loves truth and seeks peace.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, blessed be Thy name, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come through Jesus Thy Son who was sent to give repentance and forgiveness of sins. Lord, look upon this Thy child who has been sinned against and threatened. Cover him with Thy hand, give wisdom for every step toward safety, provide faithful friends and counselors, and let Thy healing flow to his wounded spirit. And Lord, have mercy upon his father. Convict him of his sin, awaken his conscience, forgive him if he will turn and trust in Christ, and heal his mind and body. Grant him honest help, godly counsel and true therapy, and turn his devices away. Keep this household from further harm and let Thy peace rule. We ask this for Christ's sake, in whose name is full and eternal forgiveness. In Jesus name Amen.

If you have a pastor or elder you trust, please go to him soon and share these details plainly so that help can be near to you in person. You are not alone in this, and the Lord who forgives sin is also the Lord who loves justice and shelters the afflicted.
