If you people actually consider yourself as followers of God, prove it to me.

Only sending biblical words to sound a true devotee of Lord God is such a sinful thing in itself. So if you people are actually then prove it by praying for me and my relationship to get better and may everything will be alright with a week and that my partner ### will come back to me and accept me as early as possible. Prove it to me and to those of them who are going through my comment. I'm desperately waiting for your replies.

We hear the pain and desperation in your request and we want to respond to you honestly and with love. We understand you are hurting over this relationship and you want to see God move quickly, but we must gently correct the way this request is framed, because it does not align with how God calls us to approach Him.

We do not follow God to prove ourselves to people, and we cannot prove our faith by making God perform on demand or within a set time like a week. Scripture warns us about this attitude. Jesus said, You shall not test the Lord your God, Matthew 4:7, and again it is written, You shall not tempt the Lord your God, Deuteronomy 6:16. God is not a servant to our demands and prayer is not a tool to test Him or to win an argument before others. Our faith is proven by obedience and love, not by forcing a specific outcome. We also read in James 4:3, You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. And in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. So we will gladly pray for you, but we must pray according to His will and His perfect timing, not ours.

We also notice you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request and we want to lovingly share why that matters. There is no other way to come to the Father except through Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is only through faith in Jesus that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Him, not only for this relationship but for your whole life.

Concerning your relationship, we want to pray for you with biblical truth in mind. You refer to your partner and want this person to come back and accept you. We do not know the details of your situation, but we must speak clearly about what God desires for relationships. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as God established in the beginning, For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, Genesis 2:24, and confirmed by Jesus in Mark 10:6-9. Any romantic relationship should be a courtship with the goal of godly marriage to another Christian believer, not simply a partnership to meet emotional needs. Scripture says, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14. If you are in a relationship outside of marriage that involves sexual intimacy, God calls that fornication and calls us to flee from it, Flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, Hebrews 13:4. If that is part of your situation, we lovingly urge you to repent and seek purity before God. If this is a same sex relationship, we must also tell you that God reserves sexual intimacy and marriage for a man and a woman, and calls us to turn from homosexual practice and to walk in holiness. We do not say this to condemn you but to lead you toward healing and toward a relationship that can truly honor God. If God does will for you and this person to be together, then we pray it would be restored and led toward a Christ centered marriage. If not, we pray God will give you peace and guide you to His best, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, Romans 8:28, and that He wants us to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, Matthew 6:33.

We will now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the loneliness and the ache and the desire for this relationship to be healed. We ask first that You draw this person to Yourself, that they would know Jesus as Lord and Savior and find forgiveness and new life in Him. Wash away any sin and give a heart that wants to follow You above all else. We pray for this relationship, that if it is Your will, You would bring reconciliation and restoration in Your perfect timing, but if it is not Your will, that You would give grace to accept Your answer and to heal the broken heart. We pray that whatever relationship You provide in the future would be pure, committed, and aimed toward a godly marriage between a man and a woman that honors You. Give comfort, patience, and wisdom now, and help this dear one to trust not in a quick sign within a week, but in Your unfailing love and Your perfect plan. Teach us all to pray not to test You, but to submit to You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking Him, to read His Word daily, to turn from any sin that hinders your walk with Him, and to trust that God hears the prayers of those who come through Jesus. He loves you more than you know and He will answer according to what is truly best for you, even when it is not exactly what we ask or when we ask.

We hear how heavy this feels and how much you want your partner to come back. When your heart is hurting this deeply it makes sense you would want to know that someone is really listening and that God hears you. Thank you for reaching out so honestly.

We want you to know we are praying for you, not to prove anything about ourselves, but because we care about you and we believe God hears every sincere prayer. We cannot promise that God will answer in the way or in the time frame we ask, and we know a week can feel endless when you are waiting and hoping. What we can do is keep bringing you before Him and trusting Him to work for your good in His way and timing.

You do not need to carry this wait alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor or mature friend nearby, consider inviting one person to walk with you personally this week, someone who can listen face to face and pray with you and help you sort through next steps with wisdom.

Father, we lift this person to You today in their pain and longing. Bring Your comfort and nearness, give clarity and wisdom for each decision, and strengthen them day by day. Help them to know they are seen and loved by You and to find peace as they seek Your will. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your words have been heard, and the sorrow and urgency in them are not taken lightly. To be in distress and to long for one who has left is a painful trial, and it is right that you should seek the Lord in it.

Yet you ask us to prove our faithfulness to God by asking Him to bless and to quickly restore a relationship according to your desire within a week. True faithfulness to God cannot be proved by praying contrary to His own Word. If we truly love you we must speak to you as God speaks in His Word, for He is the God of Peace who has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation, but that reconciliation is first and chiefly with Himself through Jesus Christ alone.

We cannot ask God to bless any relationship or living together outside the covenant He has ordained. The Scripture teaches that marriage is not a mere affinity of choice but a holy covenant of one man and one woman for life, and that it is one of the blessings preserved to us, wherein love and purity are to dwell. When the Lord says your Maker is your Husband, He shows that He Himself assumes the responsibilities of that nearness to His people, and calls us to find our first rest in Him. To ask Him to affirm what lies outside that pattern would be to ask Him to deny His own holiness, and love forbids us to do so.

What we can do, and what we will do gladly, is to pray for you as we ought to pray for Peter after his fall. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, not because men excused his sin, but because the Lord looked upon him and brought him to repentance, and did not wait until Peter came back but came after him. So we will pray that the Lord will look upon you with that same gracious look, that He will give you repentance after the manner of David when he prayed, Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness, and Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. We will pray that you may know salvation through Christ alone, that you may be washed and renewed, that you may be restored to fellowship with God, and that from that restoration you may be made stronger, as a bone well set after it has been broken.

We will pray that God will give you wisdom to do what is right before Him, that He will guard you from sin, that He will either lead this relationship, if it can be, into the holy and lawful covenant of marriage as He defines it, or else give you grace to surrender your will to His and to walk in purity and peace. We will pray not for your will to be done in a week, but for His perfect will to be done in His perfect time, for His will is counselled by infinite wisdom and wrought by almighty love.

If you have been staggered by sin or sorrow, seek first to be reconciled to God through the blood of Christ, for He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, that sinners shall be converted unto Him. Lay your heart open before Him, confess your sin, trust only in the Lord Jesus who came after you when you wandered, and ask Him to make you clean. Then, whatever He ordains concerning your partner, you will be able to stand and to strengthen others who have fallen, saying, I have returned, and so may you.

We will bear you before the throne of grace, not as you have prescribed, but as the Word directs, asking for mercy, purity, healing, and submission to the good hand of God. May the Lord hear and answer according to His lovingkindness, and lead you into that path where true and lasting peace is found.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
