Identity theft

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Pray for how all my husband women stoled my identity my family is involved with this how do i get back everything has been changed for years it looks like it was born that year money is a big part to cover it all up in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We have heard your cry and we stand with you in prayer before the Lord in Jesus' name, asking for truth to be revealed and for what has been stolen to be restored.

What you describe is deeply painful and grievous to God. To steal another's identity is theft, which violates His command in Exodus 20:15, and to use money to cover it up is deceit that the Lord will bring into the light, for Luke 8:17 tells us nothing is hidden that will not be made known, nor secret that will not be known and come to light. We also hear that your husband has been involved with other women and that even family members have taken part in this wrong against you. This breaks our hearts because marriage is holy before God, ordained as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. The Word is clear in Hebrews 13:4 that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, and in Exodus 20:14 we are commanded you shall not commit adultery. A husband pursuing other women is adultery and is sin that must be repented of, and family members conspiring to steal and deceive also stand in need of repentance, for Micah 7:6 warns that a man's enemies may be the men of his own house, yet God sees all and He hates injustice, as Isaiah 61:8 says For I, Yahweh, love justice, I hate robbery and iniquity.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our sister to You. You see the years where her identity has been altered and stolen, You see the money used to cover wrongdoing, You see the betrayal by her husband through adultery and by family who should have protected her. Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden deed, for Luke 12:2 says there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed. Bring the truth into the open before authorities and before all who need to see it. We ask for Your justice and Your mercy, for Psalm 37:28 says Yahweh loves justice, and does not forsake his saints. Restore to her what has been taken, for You promise in Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. Be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as in Psalm 46:1. Convict the hearts of her husband and those family members who have participated in this theft and adultery, lead them to godly sorrow and repentance, and bring healing to this marriage if her husband will turn from his sin and be faithful as God commands. Give her wisdom, peace that surpasses all understanding as in Philippians 4:7, and courage to take right steps. We also ask that You guard her from fear and despair, for Romans 12:19 reminds us Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, so we entrust justice to You while also seeking lawful help.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord diligently and to also take practical steps for what has been stolen. Document everything you can, keep copies of any records, and seek help from lawful authorities, from those who handle identity theft reports and credit reporting, and from trusted legal counsel, as God has ordained authorities to restrain evil in Romans 13:4. Seek also godly pastoral counsel and a faithful church community to walk with you, to pray for your protection and to hold your husband accountable before the Lord to forsake all other women and to honor his marriage vows. Do not let the love of money, which 1 Timothy 6:10 says is a root of all kinds of evil, keep this sin hidden any longer. God is able to restore your name, your records, and your peace, and He will not forsake you. We pray that you will find strength in Christ each day, that you will forgive as Christ forgave you in Ephesians 4:32 while still pursuing what is right and true, and that the Lord will redeem these painful years for His glory. We thank You, Father, that we can come only through Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and it is in His mighty and holy name we pray, amen.

We were so sorry to read what you are carrying. Having your identity misused, especially when it feels like people closest to you are part of it, can leave you feeling exposed, betrayed and exhausted, and it makes sense that money worries would make it feel even heavier.

We want to walk with you in prayer while you seek clear, safe next steps. It can help to have one steady, trustworthy person beside you as you sort through paperwork and decisions, someone who can listen and help you keep copies of any documents or notices you receive in one safe place. Alongside prayer, it is wise to reach out for practical help from reputable sources who handle identity concerns every day, such as your bank or credit union, the credit reporting agencies, or a local legal aid or victim advocacy office. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted friend, pastor, or local support services.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our sister before You. You see her and know her fully when she feels unseen and misrepresented. Give her wisdom for each conversation, protection over what is hers, and peace that steadies her heart. Lead her to honest, capable help and remind her daily that she is held and not alone. Amen.

The sorrow and confusion in your prayer is heard, and the pain of being betrayed by those nearest to you is not hidden from the Lord. Even our blessed Redeemer knew the sting of betrayal by one who walked closely with Him, and the psalmist's words were fulfilled in Him by those who lifted up the heel against Him. When family and those bound to you by covenant are involved in wrongdoing, the wound cuts deepest, and your distress over a stolen identity, altered records, and money used to cover wrong is a heavy burden indeed.

Scripture teaches that God is both just and merciful. He is slow to anger, yet He will not at all acquit the wicked, and His justice demands truth be brought to light. At the same time, His mercy is revealed in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone salvation is found. Justice itself was satisfied at the cross, where Christ bore the punishment for sin, so that all who confess their guilt and turn to Him in repentance may find pardon. No earthly record, no altered date, no financial scheme can hide the heart from Him who knows each person by name and who sees not as man sees, for He looks upon the heart and cannot be mistaken as to identity.

Your true identity, though papers and records may have been tampered with, is known to God, and if you are in Christ, you are His child and your name is written where no thief can alter it. Yet the Lord also ordains lawful means for the redress of wrongs, and it is right to seek truth and restitution through those means. As you pray for restoration, consider also these practical steps while trusting the Lord to guide you. Keep a written record of all that has been changed or taken, gather any documents you still possess, and report the theft to the proper authorities and to those who keep credit and identity records, that a fraud alert or freeze may be placed. Seek wise and godly counsel, and also lawful counsel, so that what has been done in darkness may be examined in the light and what can be restored may be restored. Guard what remains with care, and do not carry this burden alone.

The story of Peter reminds us that the Lord restores those who turn to Him with a broken heart. Peter fell grievously, yet a look from Christ and the crowing of the cock brought him to repentance, and the Lord who had prayed for him restored him fully. There is hope for restoration, not by appealing to our own justice, but by casting ourselves upon the multitude of His tender mercies, asking Him to blot out transgressions and to make whole what sin has broken.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, who art slow to anger and abundant in mercy, yet whose justice will not excuse sin, look upon this wounded one who cries to Thee in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to Thy throne. Thou knowest the betrayal felt within the family, the theft of identity, the falsifying of records, and the love of money which has been used to cover wrong. Bring truth into the light, we beseech Thee. Expose what is hidden, restrain further wrong, and make a way for what has been stolen to be restored according to Thy will. Grant wisdom to take lawful and prudent steps, provide faithful helpers and counselors, and protect from further harm.

We ask not that Thou wouldst bless any union or practice contrary to Thy holy design for marriage, which is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, nor any living together or intimacy outside of it, but that Thou wouldst bring conviction where there has been unfaithfulness and wrongdoing, and lead all involved to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Have mercy upon this family, turn hearts from sin to holiness, and let Thy justice and Thy mercy both be seen. Restore to this soul peace, a clear testimony, and the assurance of an identity secure in Christ that no man can steal. Give strength for each day, provision for every need, and faith to rest not in earthly records but in Thy unchanging promise to forgive the repenting sinner for Jesus sake. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry about this deep betrayal and theft has been heard, and I am praying with you in the name of Jesus Christ. To be robbed by those closest to you, by your own husband and by family, and to have other women involved in taking what is yours, is a wound that cuts very deeply. Scripture shows us that the most painful betrayals often come from near at hand, as Judas who was one of the twelve lifted his hand against his Lord with a kiss. When trust is broken inside the home it feels especially heavy, and God does not overlook that pain.

What you describe also reveals how the love of money can become a tyrant over the soul. For thirty pieces of silver a man betrayed the Lord of the world, not because the silver had such value, but because the love of it made him drunk and beside himself. When money is used to cover wrongdoing, to change records and to hide theft, it does not make the wrong right before God. People may be able to alter papers and make it look as if something was born in a different year, but they cannot alter the truth before the Lord who sees all things. Theft and lying and the misuse of speech will be judged, and we are told we will give an account not only for deeds but also for words.

God's design for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual faithfulness belongs within that covenant alone. I cannot ask God to bless relationships outside of that covenant, because to do so would be to ask Him to bless what He calls sin. Instead I pray that God would bring conviction and repentance where there has been unfaithfulness, deceit and participation in theft, whether by your husband, by these other women, or by family members. I pray that each person involved would turn from the love of money and from sexual sin and seek forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other way our true identity is secured.

I pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, look upon Your daughter who feels stripped of her name and her security. You know her true name and her true story when others have tried to rewrite it. Bring what has been hidden into the light, expose every lie and every theft, and stop the power of money to cover wrongdoing. Grant wisdom to those in authority to see the truth and to act justly. Restore to her what has been stolen as far as it is possible, and guard her heart from bitterness. Give her a clear mind and steady steps to seek lawful help, to document what has happened, to report the theft to the proper authorities and to those who can protect her credit and records, and to seek wise and trusted counsel in her church and from honest legal help. Surround her with people who will speak truth and not corrupt speech, who will not gossip or deceive but will help her in love. And above all, anchor her identity in Christ, which no one can steal, for when we are in Him we are known and held by You forever. Give her peace that passes understanding as she waits for Your justice and Your mercy. Amen.

Do not walk this road alone. Keep a careful record of what has been changed and when, keep copies of any documents you have, and bring them to trusted pastors and to lawful authorities who can help you pursue restoration. Bring your hurt honestly to the Lord each day, asking Him both for justice and for grace to not be overcome by anger, while still seeking what is right. God is your defender, and He will not forsake those who call on the name of Jesus with a sincere heart.

Your pain and sense of betrayal have been heard, and I am praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ. To have your identity taken, to feel that those closest to you including family and the women involved with your husband have been part of it, and to carry this for years while money is used to cover it up, is a deep and wounding injustice. It is understandable that you feel everything has been changed and taken from you.

Scripture shows that God is not unfamiliar with betrayal for money. Jesus himself was sold for thirty pieces of silver by one close to Him. God sees when trust is broken and when financial gain is used to hide wrongdoing. Nothing is hidden from Him, and He is a God of truth and justice.

I also want to remind you of something steady and hopeful. Even when legal records, money, or your good name have been tampered with, your true identity in Christ cannot be stolen. When God brings someone into His family through Jesus, that belonging is secure. Men may try to erase or rewrite who you are on paper, but the Lord knows His own, keeps His own, and maintains that identity even through long years of scattering and hardship.

The Bible also gives a beautiful picture of restoration. Under the old law, if a person became too poor or too powerless to buy back family land or to restore the family name, a near kinsman could step in as a redeemer and pay the price to bring it back. That is what Jesus does for us. He is our Redeemer. When we have no strength or means to recover what has been lost, He steps in to restore. His work is always restoration, putting back together what sin and the enemy have torn apart, whether that is a life, a family, or years that have been wasted. The Lord has promised to restore the years that have been taken, and He is able to rebuild what has been ripped away.

He also understands financial hardship and loss. Jesus himself was born into a poor family, borrowed a coin to teach, and had nowhere to lay His head. He knows what it is to be without, and He cares about the practical burden you are carrying.

I am praying for you in this way:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this dear one to You. You see the full truth of what has happened, every act of theft and deception, every person involved, and every year that has been affected. Bring what is hidden into the light, and let truth and justice prevail. Protect her and provide for her needs where money and records have been used against her. Give her wisdom and help as she seeks lawful ways to recover what has been taken, and surround her with honest, trustworthy counsel and help.

Heal the deep wounds in her heart and in her family. Where marriage vows have been broken, I pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning toward Your design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with faithfulness belonging inside it. Where there is sin, bring repentance. Where there is hurt, bring forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus, for You offer forgiveness and a new beginning to all who turn to You. Restore what the enemy has stolen, rebuild what has been broken, and let her know more deeply that her identity and worth are secure in You.

May she experience Your peace, Your provision, and Your restoring hand day by day, trusting that You are her Redeemer who has not forgotten her. Amen.

If you are able, keep careful records of what you can document, and seek wise, godly legal help to address the theft through proper channels, while you continue to entrust your heart and your future to the Lord who redeems and restores.

While I was living in the apartment, I noticed that someone might have entered it several times, as evidenced by the position of the lock and some other signs. After many months and much unclear communication, it seems possible that they intentionally tried to kill me. I don't know for sure...
