I would like to say a special prayer for ...

I would like to say a special prayer for all the people in this country who can not obtain decent health care, dental care and/or go hungry or can not eat properly. My heart just goes out to them. I pray for total revamping of our health care delivery system -- Have absolutely no idea how this would be done. Think of this -- You go get a free blood pressure check. You find out you have high BP, but you can not afford to by the blood pressure lowering medication. That is so sad. Not only that, but because you do not get treatment for the high blood pressure, you end up with stroke or heart attack and end up costing the health care system a fortune. (That is besides the personal loss of course.) I cry when I see and hear about these elderly people who are forced to choose between medication and pills. This is a travesty. It just should not be.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
