Humble Prayer Warrior
I would like to give a Praise Report. Today, I am in a good mood—one of thankfulness!
January of 2009, I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. At first, I was wallowing in self-pity especially having lost my parents 5 weeks apart in 2007, I thought that experience was enough to last me a lifetime. Then, the diagnosis. But, I thought about the fact that so many people woke up that morning and did not know that they would not be alive to greet their loved ones at the end of the day; losing their lives in a car accident, having a heart attack, due to violent crimes, etc.
I made the choice that I would ignore it but get it monitored every 6 mos. Thank God, as of 6 mos ago, it had not changed in size. I made the choice to live for myself and my children knowing God Almighty had the ultimate power to decide when I will leave this earth—who says it has to be due to an aneurysm? I decided to live my life to the fullest and do what God has made me for—to teach and shape young peoples' lives.
That is what I am doing and long to do even more of. I truly THANK GOD for every day he has given me since then (good and bad). God can sustain me for as long as He wills it to be. He has done it thus far. Praise be to God—Hallelujah!!
