I would like to ask for prayer for my friend Barry,he is a young man of 17 who has been a big part of my life for the last 10 years and is a part of my extended family,he has looked upon me as a father and we have been very close.
Sadly in the last few months he has become very distant from me,and we just don't seem to communicate anymore,or spend much time together,I understand that teenage life is very difficult,very emotional and very hormonal,I know he is struggling with his sexuality as well and that his older brother is in prison,he just spends all his time playing on the xbox and conversation between us has died.I know there is still a lot of love and care in his heart for me and his family,it's just I feel as if I am the one bearing the brunt of the "teenage angst"
This hurts to have to deal with especially knowing the good and very special times that we have shared together over the years,I just ask that you would lift him up to the Lord and ask Him to bring healing and restoration to Barry and to our relationship and that communication would be restored between us and also for God to give me the strength,faith and patience I need to deal with this.
