We rejoice with you in the grace, wisdom, and anointing the Lord bestowed upon you as you opened the service yesterday! What a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness. As you prepare to lead the entire service this coming Sunday, we stand with you in prayer, lifting this sacred responsibility before the throne of grace.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunity You have given our brother to serve in this way. We ask that You would go before him as he prepares, guiding his study, his prayers, and his words. May every part of the service, from the opening to the sermon, from the prayers to the closing, be led solely by Your Holy Spirit. Let no flesh glory in Your presence, but may Christ alone be exalted in all things.
Lord, we pray for divine wisdom to fill him as he seeks Your will in this service. May the words he speaks be not his own, but Yours, flowing from a heart surrendered to You. Grant him boldness to proclaim truth, gentleness to shepherd Your people, and humility to deflect all praise to Your name. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit rest upon him mightily, that lives would be transformed and Your kingdom advanced.
We also pray for protection over his heart and mind. Guard him from pride, fear, or distraction, and fill him with the peace that surpasses all understanding. May he walk in the confidence of Your calling, knowing that You who began this good work will carry it to completion.
Father, we declare that this service will not be about man’s ability or effort, but about Your glory alone. May the name of Jesus be lifted high, and may those in attendance encounter Your presence in a powerful way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You.
To our brother, we encourage you with the words of 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Lean not on your own understanding, but trust in the Lord with all your heart. He has equipped you for this moment, and He will sustain you. May you feel the prayers of the saints surrounding you, and may the joy of the Lord be your strength. Go forth in faith, knowing that the same God who was with you yesterday will be with you in even greater measure this Sunday. To Him be all the glory!
