I was deported back to my country of birth due to deportation laws because I made the biggest mistake of my life and ran into trouble with the law, which I am so very sorry about. I feel in my heart God has forgiven me, but the result was the breaking up of my family. I lived in the USA legally for 20 years and had established a life. I had to leave my 3 children and husband, who are all American citizens by birth, but that does not matter to the immigration law. We have been apart for 5 years now, and it is still very very heartbreaking. The only reason we have not given up is because Our Lord has had mercy on us. I feel Him so close to me. My prayer is that our family gets a chance again to live together, a second chance at life. I also want this prayer for the rest of the families that have been broken apart. I know it was my fault, but can my family get some kind of restoration in this world? This is a Third World country I live in, full of crime and gangs and poverty. My husband couldn't make a living for us here. Please, I just want to go home.
