I want to dance again, I want life not struggle

Anonymous

Beloved of All
It's an uphill struggle with a heavy burden and no joy. I'm tired and discouraged and have so little to live for.
Jesus, give me life and inspiration and make me dance! Amen

We hear the weariness in your heart and we join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord, for you are not alone in this struggle and He sees your tiredness and discouragement. You have cried out to Jesus for life and inspiration and to dance again, and that is a beautiful and right prayer, for it is only through Jesus that we find true life and joy.

The Word reminds us that Jesus invites the weary to Himself when He says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30. He did not promise a life without struggle, but He did promise to carry the burden with us and to give us abundant life, for Jesus said, I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. John 10:10. When joy feels gone, we are reminded that the joy of Yahweh is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 and that in His presence is fullness of joy. Psalm 16:11.

We love how you asked Him to make you dance again, for this is His heart for you. Scripture declares, You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness. Psalm 30:11. He is able to lift discouragement and breathe new inspiration into your spirit. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this precious soul to You who is tired and discouraged and carrying a heavy burden uphill with little joy. Lord, we ask You to give life as only You can give, abundant and overflowing life that brings inspiration and hope. We ask You to turn mourning into dancing and to restore joy and a reason to live. Pour out Your presence, for in Your presence there is fullness of joy, and let Your strength sustain where human strength has failed. Help our dear one to cast all cares upon You, because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7, and to wait upon You to renew strength like the eagle. Lead by Your Holy Spirit into rest, into worship, into community with other believers who can help bear this burden, and show the beautiful purpose You have for this life which You created and redeemed. We thank You that You hear this prayer in Jesus name and that You are faithful to answer. Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in His Word and in prayer, even with simple honest cries like the one you have prayed, and to share this burden with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can walk with you, for we are called to bear one another's burdens. Galatians 6:2. Do not measure your worth by the struggle of this season, for your life is precious to God and He has purpose for you. We pray you will soon feel His inspiration rising up and find your feet dancing again for His glory.

We hear how tired you are and how heavy everything feels right now, like every step is uphill with no joy left in it. Wanting to dance again, to feel life and inspiration instead of just struggle, is a honest and good prayer and we are joining you in it.

It makes sense that when discouragement has lasted a while, hope feels far off. Hope is not pretending the burden is not real, it is what the heart holds onto while the struggle is still there. It can grow slowly as we learn again that God is present and trustworthy even on the days we feel empty, and as we learn to carry both the pain and a quiet expectation that He has not forgotten us.

It can help not to carry this alone. This week would you consider letting one trusted person in a little more, a pastor, a counselor, or your doctor alongside prayer, just to say out loud how discouraged you have been and that you have so little to live for right now. And one small, active step toward life, even listening to one song that once made you want to move, taking a short walk, or spending a few minutes in worship, can gently loosen that tight circle of tiredness.

Jesus, we bring our friend to You just as they are, weary and longing for joy again. Hold them close, give them rest and renewed strength for each day, and guide them to caring support nearby. Lead them step by step toward life in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your cry of weariness has been heard, and it is a cry the Lord understands well. To be tired and discouraged, to feel the burden heavy and joy far away, is to be as the weary dove that could find no rest for the sole of her foot and must return to the ark. Jesus loves to receive the weary. He is not weary of you, and He waits to be gracious. He washed you once and He will wash you again, and He will give rest to those who come to Him with wet and weary wings.

Scripture tells us that every man shall bear his own burden, and that burden includes our fallen nature and the cares of this life. It is a heavy burden, and apart from Christ it will crush you. Some try to bear the burden of the law in their own strength, and others make a heavier yoke of their own making by their anxieties and strivings. But Christ says, My yoke is easy and My burden is light. His yoke becomes easy and His burden light not when we try harder, but when we trust Him. For love of us He bore a burden heavier than any we can know, and for the joy that was set before Him He endured the cross. Now He offers to bear our burden with us and to give us His own peculiar joy and peculiar strength and peculiar hope.

The joy you long for, the life that makes you dance again, is not to be found in circumstances. He that has joy in his barn floor may see it bare, he that has joy in his wine vats may see them dry, he that has joy in earthly things may see them wither. But he that has joy in God has the quintessence of happiness, the essential oil of joy. Joy in the Lord is the fruit of the Spirit from the root of trust in God. It is joy in God Himself, in His power for He can help you, in His faithfulness for He cannot fail you, in His immutability for He changes not. When you can joy in nothing else, you can joy in God. This is the joy that labors for expression until it sings and shouts for joy, and sometimes it is so deep that silence suits it even better.

You speak of needing renewal, and you are right, for all created things need renewal. Nothing that God has made is self existent. The work of renewal is a stern work, it is conversion, and the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is put forth to renew a soul. Do not think you must renew yourself. Come and sit as Mary sat, and be refreshed with communing. You may glorify your Lord more by receiving than by giving. Rest in God and be joyful. Rejoice in the Lord always, and again rejoice, for this joy is the cure for all discord and the concord of the soul with the joy of heaven.

We will pray for you and bear this burden with you in prayer, as we are called to bear one another's burdens.

O Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, look upon this weary one. Lift the heavy burden that has taken away joy, forgive sin and heal discouragement, and renew the heart by Your resurrection power. Give life and inspiration, fill this soul with joy and peace through believing, that there may be singing and even dancing before You, not from earthly merriment which soon grows dull, but from living joy in God which exhilarates and endures. Teach this dear soul to take Your easy yoke and light burden, to find rest, and to joy in You always. Amen.

What is it about happiness and joy to the full that causes us to slide into sin and away from God? But we must slowly integrate joy gladness and quality of life together with prayer worship and faith. They must be wrought together. May heavenly Father and Lord Yeshua keep your foot from slipping back into sin. It is better to enter into life maimed and halt than into everlasting fire with all your privy members in tact. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your tiredness and heaviness have been heard, and God does not turn away from a heart that honestly says it has so little to live for and feels no joy.

Jesus himself invites those who are weary and carry heavy burdens to come to him for rest, not for another struggle to perform but for life that he alone gives. That life is not found in chasing a feeling or in the kind of dancing the world celebrates, which stirs desire and leaves emptiness, but in learning to walk orderly with him and to join the worship that belongs to heaven. God gave us feet and breath not for unseemly revelry but for a steady walk of faith, and he gives joy that is not fleeting.

Scripture says to rejoice in the Lord always, and that joy often grows from tears that are turned toward him. Godly sorrow, repentance and trust become the seed of a lasting and pure joy, unlike the joy of this world which is always mixed with grief. To mourn before God in honesty, to bring him your discouragement and to bear what is hard with thanksgiving, is the way to the unmixed joy he promises in his kingdom.

So I pray for you now that the Lord Jesus would lift the burden you feel, forgive your sins and give you new life in him. May he show you that to live is Christ, renew your strength, and restore to you a quiet and steady joy that can even make the heart sing again, not as the world dances for a moment and is empty, but as one who has been warmed by his mercy and walks lightly in his grace. May he teach you day by day to find inspiration not in striving alone but in his word, in prayer, and among his people who can bear the burden with you, until discouragement gives way to hope.

If the struggle remains uphill for a time, do not think you are forgotten. Keep coming to Christ, keep asking for his help, and keep choosing what is profitable for your soul even when it is not immediately pleasant. He is near, and he is able to turn mourning into rejoicing that endures.
