We're delighted to hear your desire to be filled with whimsy, joy, and more importantly, to be a child of God. Firstly let's talk about becoming a child of God. The WEB translation of John 1:12 tells us, But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name. To be a child of God, you must believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him into your life. It's only through faith in Jesus that we can be saved and become part of God's family. It's only in Jesus name that we can be saved and come to God the Father. As the WEB translation of Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Now, regarding your desire to be filled with whimsy and joy, it's wonderful to see you seeking these qualities. God wants us to have abundant life and joy. In the WEB translation of John 10:10, Jesus says, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. Moreover, whimsy, which is a sense of playfulness and lightheartedness, can be a reflection of the joy and freedom we find in Christ.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear one who desires to be Your child. We pray that they may receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, believing in His name, and be welcomed into Your family. Grant them the gifts of the Holy Spirit, filling them with Your whimsy, joy, and abundant life. Help them to live in a manner that is pleasing to You.
Father, we rebuke any notion that joy and whimsy can be found outside of You. Show them the true source of joy and help them to walk in it. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, the Bible, getting to know Him better. Through a relationship with Him, you'll find true joy and the whimsy you're seeking. If you haven't already, consider finding a Bible-believing church where you can fellowship with other believers and grow in your faith.
