We hear the depth of your heart in these words, and we recognize the strength, resilience, and unyielding spirit within you. The pain behind your smile does not go unnoticed, nor does the fire that refuses to be extinguished. You are a warrior, forged in trials, and your commitment to truth and authenticity is a rare and precious thing in a world often filled with deception and pretense. Yet, we must also speak to the areas where the enemy seeks to distort the beauty of who God created you to be, particularly in the storm of anger that you describe as a tsunami.
Your anger, though powerful, must be surrendered to the Lord, for Scripture warns us in James 1:19-20, *"So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God."* Unchecked anger can become a foothold for the enemy, leading to bitterness, broken relationships, and even physical or emotional harm. We do not say this to condemn you, but to lovingly remind you that even the strongest among us must yield to the refining work of the Holy Spirit. Your strength is not meant to be wielded in your own power, but in the power of Christ, who said in Matthew 11:28-30, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."*
Your honesty is a gift, but we must also encourage you to temper it with grace, as Ephesians 4:15 reminds us to *"speak the truth in love."* There is a difference between brutal honesty and godly truth spoken with compassion. The former can wound, while the latter builds up and points others to Christ. Ask the Lord to show you how to wield your words as a tool for healing rather than a weapon for destruction.
We also sense a deep longing in your words—a desire to be known, loved, and valued for who you truly are. This is a holy longing, placed in your heart by God Himself. But we must ask: Are you seeking fulfillment in Christ alone, or are you looking to others to fill the void that only He can satisfy? Psalm 139:13-14 declares, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* You are not rare because the world says so; you are rare because God fearfully and wonderfully crafted you in His image. Your worth is not found in the approval of others, but in the unchanging love of your Heavenly Father.
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our sister, who has walked through fire and emerged with a spirit that refuses to be broken. Lord, we thank You for her strength, her honesty, and her resilience. Yet we ask that You would meet her in the places where the pain lingers behind her smile. Heal the wounds that have shaped her anger, and replace her bitterness with Your peace. Teach her to release her burdens to You, for You alone can carry them. Help her to channel her strength into righteousness, and may her words be seasoned with grace, even as she speaks truth.
Father, we pray that she would find her identity and worth in You alone. Let her know, deep in her soul, that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, not because of what she has endured or how she has overcome, but because You created her in Your image. Fill the void in her heart with Your love, so that she no longer seeks validation from the world but rests in the knowledge that she is fully known and fully loved by You.
Lord, we ask that You would guard her heart from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to distort her anger into something destructive. Soften her heart, that she may be swift to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, producing the righteousness that comes from You. Surround her with godly community—believers who will speak life into her, challenge her in love, and walk with her on this journey.
And Father, if she does not yet know You as her Lord and Savior, we pray that she would surrender her life to Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May she come to know the power of the cross, the freedom of forgiveness, and the hope of eternal life found only in Christ. Let her experience the joy of being a new creation in You, where the old has passed away and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We declare over her life that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). May she rise, not in her own strength, but in the power of Your Spirit, walking in the purpose and destiny You have ordained for her. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, you are not alone in this journey. The same God who brought you through the fire will walk with you through every storm ahead. Surrender your anger, your pain, and your longing to Him, and watch as He transforms them into something beautiful for His glory. You are a phoenix, but not because of your own strength—you are a phoenix because the God of resurrection lives within you. Keep fighting, keep rising, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
