I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

Beloved of All
I have problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

We join you in lifting up your heart before the Lord, for we know the deep anguish and spiritual battle you are facing. The struggles you’ve shared—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sin—are not just habits but strongholds that the enemy uses to ensnare God’s children and steal their peace, purity, and purpose. Yet we rejoice that you have come before the Lord in repentance and desperation, for He is faithful to those who seek Him with a broken and contrite heart. The fact that you are grieving over these sins is evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, convicting you and drawing you toward holiness. Do not lose heart, for the Lord does not despise your cries but hears them as the pleas of a child He dearly loves.

The Word of God is clear about the call to purity and the danger of sexual immorality. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, we are commanded: *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body is not your own—it belongs to Christ, who purchased you with His precious blood. These sins defile the temple of the Holy Spirit and grieve the heart of God, but He is ready to cleanse you and set you free.

We must also address the flirting you mentioned, for even seemingly "harmless" interactions can lead to temptation and stumble others. Jesus warned in Matthew 5:28, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* Flirting, even if it feels innocent, can awaken lust in your own heart or in the heart of another, leading to further sin. Guard your words, your eyes, and your heart, for the Lord sees all. Proverbs 4:23 instructs, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."*

You have asked for deliverance, and we declare that the Lord *will* deliver you—but you must take radical steps to cooperate with His work in your life. True repentance is not just sorrow; it is a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. In James 4:7-8, we are told, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* This is not a passive process. You must *flee* from temptation, *resist* the devil, and *draw near* to God with all your heart.

Practically, this means you must remove every opportunity for sin from your life. If pornography is accessible through your devices, install accountability software, delete apps or browsers that tempt you, and even discard devices if necessary. Job 31:1 says, *"I made a covenant with my eyes; how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?"* Make a covenant with your eyes—and your hands, your mind, and your heart—to turn away from sin. Fill your mind with the Word of God instead. Psalm 119:9 asks, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."* Memorize Scripture, meditate on it day and night, and let it renew your mind (Romans 12:2).

You have also asked for wisdom, and we pray that the Lord will grant it abundantly. Proverbs 2:6 tells us, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10), and it is the key to discerning the enemy’s schemes and walking in victory. Ask the Lord to reveal the root of these struggles—whether it be loneliness, past wounds, idleness, or unbelief—and surrender those areas to Him. He will heal you and fill the voids in your heart with His love.

Finally, we must remind you that this battle is not fought in your own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit. You cannot overcome these sins by sheer willpower, but by relying entirely on Christ. Galatians 5:16-17 says, *"Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire."* When you feel the pull of temptation, cry out to the Holy Spirit for strength. He will enable you to flee and empower you to walk in righteousness.

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and restoration:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is broken and weary from the battle against sin. Lord, You see his heart—his repentance, his tears, and his desperate longing for purity. We thank You that You do not despise a broken and contrite heart, but draw near to those who call upon You in truth.

Father, we ask for Your mercy to flood his life. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and break every chain of pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual sin that has bound him. Uproot these sins from his heart and mind, and cast them far from him, never to return. Let him experience the freedom that comes only through Christ, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

Lord, renew his mind by Your Word. Fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9). Give him discernment to recognize temptation before it takes hold and the strength to flee from it. Let him walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, crucifying the flesh with its affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24).

Father, we pray for divine wisdom to guard his heart and his ways. Reveal to him any hidden wounds or strongholds that have given the enemy a foothold, and heal him completely. Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quenches all thirst (John 4:14).

We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and temptation that has tormented him. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and never return. Fill the voids in his heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose. Let him find joy in pursuing holiness and righteousness, knowing that You are his reward.

Lord, surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him, hold him accountable, and pray for him. Let him not walk this path alone, but find strength in the body of Christ. Remind him daily that he is Your beloved child, redeemed and called to a life of purity.

Father, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power and grace. May he emerge from this battle stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You than ever before.

We pray all these things in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Every time you fall, get back up, repent, and keep fighting. The enemy wants you to believe that you are defined by your sins, but in Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Walk in that identity. Seek the Lord with all your heart, and He will deliver you. We are standing with you in prayer and believing for your complete victory. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you *will* reap, if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Dear friend, we join you in crying out to the Lord on your behalf. We know the struggle is real, but we also know the One who is in you, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Here's what we want to remind you of:

First, **you are not alone**. The Lord is fighting for you, and He has not abandoned you. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He is moved by your repentance. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Second, **you must take action**. Repentance is not just feeling sorry, but turning away from sin and turning towards God. This means removing every opportunity for sin from your life. It means installing accountability software, discarding devices if necessary, and making a covenant with your eyes and your heart to turn away from sin.

Third, **fill your mind with God's Word**. Meditate on it day and night. Hide it in your heart. The Word of God is a sword that will help you fight against temptation (Ephesians 6:17).

Fourth, **trust in the power of the Holy Spirit**. You cannot overcome sin in your own strength. But with the Holy Spirit living in you, you can resist temptation and walk in righteousness. Cry out to Him for strength when you feel the pull of sin.

Lastly, **remember, you are loved**. You are God's child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. You are not defined by your sins, but by what Christ has done for you. Stand firm in that truth, and keep fighting.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, we come before You on behalf of our friend. We thank You for Your love that never fails, and for Your power that is greater than any sin or struggle. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them strength to resist temptation, wisdom to discern right from wrong, and courage to turn away from sin. Help them to fill their mind with Your Word, and to trust in Your power to overcome. Lord, remind them daily of Your love for them, and help them to stand firm in that truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep fighting, dear friend. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for your complete victory.
