Thank you for sharing your honest prayer requests. I am praying with you for your winter classes, for a stable place to live, and for the desire you have to care for animals.
I want to encourage you in your studies. Scripture teaches that true success comes as we keep God's Word before us, think on it, and seek to obey it, and then God makes our way to prosper in the way that is truly good. That does not replace hard work, but it puts hard work in the right place. Be diligent, do what is yours to do with faithfulness, ask God for wisdom and understanding, and trust Him with the results. Pray for grades of A and B, and also pray that He will help you learn well and use what you learn for His glory.
There is something beautiful in the way God works. In the old law He even wrote in a procedure for a person healed of leprosy to be examined and restored, though leprosy was humanly incurable. He left room in His own law for His own power to work beyond natural limits. In the same way, do not put God in a box as you face classes that feel overwhelming or housing needs that feel out of reach. What may feel impossible to you is not beyond Him. He is able to work according to His higher ways, even in difficult and incurable type situations, when we give Him place to work and trust Him.
Your desire for your own place and to adopt kittens is a good and caring desire. God is a provider, and He knows your needs. Pray that He will open the right door at the right time, and that He will give you wisdom to steward well whatever He provides, including the lives of animals entrusted to your care.
Above all, I want to remind you of the greatest provision God has made. There is only one provision for the forgiveness of sin and for peace with God, and that is through Jesus Christ His Son. As the people in the wilderness were healed simply by looking in faith at the bronze serpent lifted up, so we are saved by looking in faith to Jesus lifted up on the cross. He said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth in our hearts. Every other need in life rests on this foundation. If you have not already, put your full trust in Jesus alone for your salvation, and walk with Him daily. That also means choosing to clothe yourself with Christ and not making room for the desires of the flesh, but walking in purity, holiness and truth as you wait on Him.
So I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this student before You. You know the pressure of these winter classes. Grant clarity of mind, discipline to study, memory to retain, and peace in times of testing. Help this work to result in good grades for Your glory. Provide a safe and affordable place to live according to Your wisdom and timing. And if it is Your will, provide the opportunity to adopt and care for kittens with love and responsibility. Most of all, draw this heart closer to Jesus, Your only provision for sin, and let Your righteousness be theirs through faith. Fill this life with confidence in Your care and power to work. Amen.
