Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. There is no true spiritual union except the one which Christ Himself has fashioned with His Church. When you cry to be delivered from a so-called spiritual husband, you are crying to be loosed from the grip of an unclean spirit that counterfeits holy wedlock. This thing you name is not a husband but a thief, a defilement of the soul that came to steal the peace Christ purchased for you. Let your mind flee at once from any thought that such a bond can be blessed; it is nothing but a dark delusion.

Remember the dove that appeared after the flood, bearing tidings of deliverance. So the Holy Spirit, that gentle and pure Dove, appears to point us to the true Deliverer from all evils. He brings not a branch of olive but adoption into the household of God. Cry to God not only for escape but for the Holy Spirit to drive out every shadow by His presence. For where the Spirit of peace dwells, no demon can abide. He is a Spirit of meekness, and He has been shed abroad in your heart since your baptism. Do not let terror persuade you that this foul dream has any claim. You are a child of God by faith, and the Spirit Himself bears witness with your spirit that you are an heir, not a slave to any dark master.

Yet consider the apostle’s warning: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness.” Holiness in this matter means chaste and orderly living. If you are unmarried, remain pure, or if you burn, seek a lawful marriage in the Lord, for marriage is honorable and preserves the holiness that comes from faith. If you are already married, cleave to your own husband with all fidelity, and give no room to this vile impostor. What you call a spiritual husband is the spirit of fornication whispering lies in dreams and thoughts. It holds power only where the will consents or where secret sin makes a lodging for it. Examine your life. Have you opened a door by any false worship, any entertaining of lustful thoughts, any neglect of prayer and fasting? Repent, and shut that door at once.

Do not imagine that God needs many words to free you. Our Lord Jesus Christ, when He cast out devils, did not pray as one needing aid; He spoke with authority: “Be still,” and the storm obeyed. His name is enough. Call upon that name with full faith, and the snare will break. Go often to the prayers of the Church, partake of the holy mysteries with a clean conscience, and fill your soul with the word of God. The grace of the Spirit is not given to the idle but to those who despise the world’s foolish pleasures and press after a bright and virtuous life. The apostles themselves were not made mighty by raising the dead but by their contempt of wealth and glory. So it is a holy life, a life separated from every unclean thing, that draws down the power of God.

Let not your cry be only “Deliver me!” but also “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth. He will give you peace at all times and in every way, so that no enemy can disturb your rest. The peace that flows from the Spirit is a calm for the whole world of your soul. He who united our poor nature to Himself in the marriage of Bethlehem and Calvary will not suffer a thief to possess His bride. Only stand fast, resist the devil, and he will flee. Walk in the light, and the shadows will dissolve.
