Wisdom is man’s true path, the compass across the trackless waste of life, yet where shall it be found? Not in the pride of human strength, nor in the fabled judgment of a fly upon an elephant. The price of wisdom is above rubies; the topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it. From where, then, comes wisdom? Christ is made unto us wisdom from God, He is the wisdom of God personally, in His gospel, and in the heart. To know how to use knowledge is wisdom, and that wisdom sits at the Master’s feet, accepting Him. Truest wisdom you shall manifest by following His example through every task set before you.

You ask for wisdom to complete your paperwork, praying for its approval in Jesus' name. This is a good and proper request, for wisdom is a gift from above. But consider carefully what it is you seek when you ask for approval. Let your heart be examined by God who proves the heart.
See that your desire for approval is not merely to please men, to satisfy an earthly supervisor or a human institution. The wisdom that comes from God is not the wisdom of this world which passes away. The rulers of this world and their systems are coming to nothing. If you seek only to have your papers stamped by human authority, you set your sights too low. The paperwork itself is a small thing, but the posture of your soul is everything.
When we have been approved by God, we speak and act not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. If He sees we are free from worldly considerations, He entrusts us with our tasks. So bring your paperwork before Him, yes, but first bring yourself. Seek His approval above all. Ask for a wisdom that is hidden from the world, the wisdom of God in a mystery, which He foreordained for our glory. This is the wisdom that makes the wisdom of the world appear as foolishness.
Do the work with diligence and honesty. Let your mind be clear, your intentions pure. But do not cling to the outcome as the world clings. If your paperwork is approved, give thanks, but know that a far greater approval has already been secured if your heart is right before God. If it is delayed or denied, still give thanks, for the wisdom of God often works through what the world counts as setback. The son who was approved grew envious when another received honor. Do not be like that. Rest in the approval that comes from God alone.
