You are praying for exactly what God delights to give. When you ask for wisdom, you are reaching for the very thing Scripture calls the principal thing, the starting point, the treasure above rubies. And you are asking in the name of Jesus, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. That is not a small thing.
Wisdom is not merely knowing the right boxes to tick on a form. It is a personified gift from the Lord, crying out in the streets, inviting all to come and feast at her table. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of that wisdom. So as you sit down with your paperwork, your heart is already in the right posture: humble, dependent, reverent. True wisdom does not come from striving or anxiety. It comes from above, pure and peaceable, and it will guide your hands and your mind to do what is right.
God gave Solomon wisdom because he asked for it above riches or fame, and the Lord was pleased. Just so, your request aligns with His heart. The Spirit of wisdom is promised to those who ask in faith. Trust that as you work, the wisdom you need will be there, thoughts clarified, steps ordered, details noticed. Do not let the fear of getting it wrong push you into the restlessness of worldly wisdom, which is earthly and comes to nothing. Instead, work with the confidence that the wisdom from above gives life and defense.
So fill out those papers with diligence, but without panic. The God who by wisdom founded the earth and established the heavens will not fail to give you the measure of wisdom this moment requires. He honors the desire to do things honestly and carefully. And the approval you seek, whether from men or from His own hand, rests ultimately in His provision, not in your flawless performance. You have asked in Jesus' name. That name makes Him your wisdom, your righteousness, and your peace. Walk in that today, and let wisdom rest in your heart as you go.
