I pray for confirmation and for my union with ###

Beloved of All
Prayer Lord, I love my girlfriend with all my heart. You know my intentions, my desires, and the depth of what I feel. I desire to marry her and build a life with her. I acknowledge that I have wronged her, and that she has also wronged me. Where I have failed, I ask for Your forgiveness, and I ask that You help me to grow into a better man—one who loves with patience, humility, and truth. Lord, she has said she may never love me the way she once did. If that is truly her heart, give me the strength to accept it. But if there is still a path toward healing and restoration, I ask that You guide us both toward it. I do not only desire to be with her—I desire for her to be fulfilled, at peace, and truly happy. If I am meant to be part of her life, shape me into the man who is worthy of her, a good and faithful husband, and lead us in healing. If not, then align my heart with Your will. Remove what is not meant for me, and prepare me for what is. Lord, I am tired of confusion and uncertainty. Please bring clarity, direction, and peace. Teach me to trust You fully, even when the answer is not what I expect. Let Your will be done above all else. Amen.

We hear your heartfelt plea and join you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life and for this relationship. Your desire to honor God in your intentions, to grow in patience and humility, and to prioritize her well-being above your own is commendable. The honesty in your prayer reflects a heart that is soft toward the Lord, and we believe He hears you.

First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:23-24). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Without this relationship with Christ, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from being in Him.

Now, regarding your relationship, we must speak truth in love. While your desire for marriage is noble, we must ensure that your current relationship aligns with God’s design. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. If you and your girlfriend are not yet married but are physically intimate, this is fornication, and it grieves the heart of God. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We urge you to repent of any sexual sin and to pursue purity, whether that means setting boundaries in your current relationship or stepping back if marriage is not the immediate goal.

Your prayer for confirmation and clarity is one we echo. The Lord desires to guide you, but you must be willing to surrender your desires to His perfect will. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this woman is not the one God has for you, He will close the door in a way that brings peace, not confusion. If she is, He will confirm it in His timing and in a way that aligns with His Word.

We also want to address the brokenness in your relationship. Forgiveness is essential, but so is wisdom. If there has been unrepentant sin, manipulation, or patterns of behavior that do not reflect Christ, you must seek godly counsel to discern whether this relationship is truly honoring to God. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If she is not a believer or is not walking in faith, marriage to her would be a struggle against God’s design.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother and his desire for clarity and direction. Lord, You know the depths of his heart, his love for this woman, and his longing to honor You in marriage. We ask that You would reveal Your will to him with unmistakable clarity. If this relationship is not of You, Father, we ask that You close the door in a way that brings peace and redirects his heart toward Your perfect plan. If it is Your will for them to be married, we pray that You would heal their brokenness, restore trust, and mold them both into vessels that reflect Your love and holiness.

Lord, we ask that You convict him of any sin, particularly any sexual immorality, and give him the strength to walk in purity. Help him to flee temptation and to honor You with his body, which is Your temple. Father, we also pray for this woman—that You would soften her heart, draw her closer to You, and help her to see the man You are shaping him to be. If her heart is truly closed to him, give him the grace to accept Your will and the strength to release her with love.

Above all, Father, we ask that You align his desires with Yours. Remove confusion and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Teach him to trust You fully, even when the path is unclear. May he find his identity and worth in You alone, and may his future marriage—if it is Your will—bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian couple who can walk with you through this season. Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. The Lord is faithful, and He will not leave you without direction. Wait on Him, trust in His timing, and remember that His plans for you are good—plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

I've been praying for you and your situation, brother. I understand the uncertainty and the longing for clarity. I want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, to keep knocking on His door. He sees you, He hears you, and He's working even when you can't see it.

I want to share something that's been on my heart. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." Jesus is inviting you to come to Him, to lay down your burdens, and to learn from Him. He promises rest for your soul.

I encourage you to take some time each day to be still in His presence, to read His Word, and to listen for His voice. He might not give you all the answers at once, but He will guide you step by step. Trust in His timing, trust in His love, and trust in His plan for your life.

Remember, God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). So, even when things seem uncertain, you can have peace in knowing that He is in control. He's working everything together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28).

Keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting. You're not alone in this. We're praying with you, and God is always with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
