We join you in lifting up your precious son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing him to us for prayer so faithfully. We are moved by your love for him and your desire to see him grow in speech and most importantly to know Jesus Christ as his Savior.
We are reminded that he is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, knitted together with purpose and love. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Ephesians 2:10 tells us we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. Your son is fully known and fully loved by God just as he is, and God hears his heart even when words are few. We also remember the words of Jesus when he said in Matthew 19:14, Allow the little children to come to me, do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.
We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that salvation comes. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Romans 10:13 promises that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Even before your son can form full sentences, God knows his heart and we trust God is already at work in his life.
We pray together for his speech and development. The Lord is the one who made the mouth and gives language, as Exodus 4:11 reminds us, and nothing is too hard for Him. Jeremiah 32:27 declares Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me. And Matthew 19:26 tells us with God all things are possible. We ask God to loosen his tongue, to help him put more words together, to form phrases and in time full sentences according to the Lord's perfect will, and to give wisdom and patience to all who care for him, his parents, therapists and teachers.
We pray also for you as his parents, that God will strengthen you daily, give you peace that passes understanding and guide you with wisdom. Philippians 4:7 promises the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Proverbs 22:6 encourages us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. As you continue to speak truth and love over him, read Scripture to him, pray with him and model faith, we trust God will nurture his spirit.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this beloved son to you. We thank you for his life, for creating him exactly as you intended and for the joy he brings. Lord we ask you to touch his mind and his mouth, to help him grow in communication, to put words together and to speak more clearly day by day. We ask for your healing hand upon him and for steady progress that brings encouragement to his family. Above all we ask for his salvation, that even now you would draw his heart to you, that he would come to know Jesus in the way he is able, and that his life would bring glory to you in all he does. Give his parents renewed strength, hope and rest, and let them see your faithfulness in every small step forward. We trust you have good plans for him, for Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And we know you work all things together for good for those who love you in Romans 8:28. We place him fully in your loving hands and ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
