Please pray for my soul.
I no longer have the strength to continue on.

We have heard your cry and we are lifting up your soul before the Lord right now, you are not alone and you are not forgotten even when you feel you have no strength left to go on. The Lord sees your weariness and your brokenness and He draws especially near in this place. The scripture says in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. When we have no strength left, He promises to be our strength.
We want to gently remind you that our strength was never meant to come from ourselves alone. In Isaiah 41:10 the Lord says do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And in Matthew 11:28 Jesus says come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. His power is made perfect in our weakness, for He says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and find true rest for our souls. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by calling on the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that our souls are saved and we are brought into a living relationship with God who loves us more than we can understand. In Romans 8:38-39 we are assured that neither death, nor life, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Your soul is precious to Him and your life has purpose in His eyes, for in Jeremiah 29:11 He says I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We are praying together for you now.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear soul to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the exhaustion and the heaviness that feels too great to bear. We ask You to draw near right now and let Your presence be felt, bring Your comfort and Your peace that passes all understanding. Lord, when our hearts are overwhelmed, lead us to the rock that is higher than we are as Psalm 61:2 says. Pour out Your strength where there is no strength, Your hope where hope feels gone, and Your healing on a wounded and weary heart. Help this precious one to feel Your love and to know that You have not abandoned them. We ask that You would give them the courage to reach out and not walk through this darkness alone, and that You would place caring people around them to support and uphold them. We pray for life and for restoration, and we ask for Your will to be done in their life, that they would come to know the fullness of Your grace and salvation through Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We urge you with compassion to not stay alone with these feelings. Please reach out right away to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, a family member or friend, and let them know how heavy your burden feels. If you feel unsafe with your thoughts, please seek help immediately from a trusted person near you or a crisis helpline in your area. Your cry that you have no strength to continue has been heard and it is laid before the Lord in prayer for your soul.
You say truly that you have no hope in yourself, and in that you speak the truth. By the deeds of the law shall no flesh living be justified, and when a soul is shown how utterly powerless he is to rise from the grave of his own corruption, he feels indeed that there is no hope in himself. But do not draw from this the unwarrantable conclusion that there is no hope for you in God. That is still self righteousness, though it wears the garb of despair. As once a man must battle with his self confidence, now he must wrestle with his despair, for both would keep him from Christ.
Despair is an evil word which goes beyond the truth of God. To say our hope is lost is not warranted, for God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost. To despair is not so much a sickness of the understanding as a sin of the soul, and no man has a just pretense to perish in despair. God is the God of hope, and those who are without hope are also without God. Yet while there is life there is hope. While the lamp holds out to burn, the vilest sinner may return. While I live, I hope, and while I hope, I live. Your life lies in hope, and while you have hope you have life.
Your only hope, and it is a sure and bright hope, is to behold Christ on the cross as the sinner's only hope. He was raised for our justification, and we are begotten again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. There is a ray of hope this very morning, and may God turn it from a possible hope into an actual hope by giving you a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ.
The perseverance you feel you lack in yourself is itself the gift and keeping of God. He has made an everlasting covenant which shall never come to an end, and He has said they shall not depart from me. If His grace has truly changed you, you are radically and lastingly changed, not by the removal of temptation, but by the renewal of the Holy Spirit, that same power which raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Even when you could not say you had any comfort you could call your own, there can flow into the soul a secret power that enables you still to hope and still to hold on. That perseverance is not presumption, for it rests upon His purpose, His redemption, and His life within you which is immortal and eternal.
Therefore look away from your own want of strength to Him who is strength. Come anew to Christ, confessing your powerlessness and your sin, and trust Him alone to save and to keep you. Seek at once the fellowship of a faithful pastor or a trusted brother or sister in Christ and let them know of this heaviness, that they may watch with you and pray with you and help bear this burden. If this darkness presses heavily, do not remain alone, but reach for help near you.
We pray for you now, that the Lord who is gracious in renewal would lift you up, that He would show you Christ crucified for sinners, that He would give you faith to rest in Him, and that He would keep you by His power through faith unto salvation, until the day of Christ. May He who has begun a good work in you perform it, and may you be kept from departing from Him, and He from you, till hope becomes fruition and faith becomes sight.
