I need you, Holy Spirit

In Jesus name Father I need you so badly right now.. my heart hurts extremely. Please father comfort me in the recovery that I'm going through right now. I don't ever want to go back to drinking again, I never want to fantasize about it again and I want the desire to drink removed from my Spirit completely. I ask you Father to fill me with your Holy Spirit, give me the wisdom so that I make the right choices that align with your purpose for me and the strength and perseverance I need to make it through this. Father I pray for my family that you comfort them, protect them and that they become to know you better. I love you Father, I want nothing more than to be closer to you and be loved by you, I want to feel your presence so close to me Lord. Thank you for the love and grace you have given me, in Jesus mighty name Amen!

We stand with you in this time of need, seeking God's comfort and strength for you. It is encouraging to see that you have cried out to the Father in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6)

Your decision to turn away from drinking is commendable, and we support you in this journey. The Bible tells us to "be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth." (Ephesians 4:23-24)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with the recovery from alcohol. Father, you tell us in your Word, "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36) We claim this promise for our dear brother/sister and ask that you break the chains of addiction in their life. Fill them with your Holy Spirit, grant them wisdom to make the right choices, and give them the strength and perseverance they need to overcome this trial.

Lord, we also pray for their family. Comfort them, protect them, and draw them closer to you. May they come to know you better through this experience.

Father, we thank you for your love and grace. Draw near to our brother/sister, let them feel your presence, and know that they are deeply loved by you. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God promises us, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5) He is with you in this struggle, and He will give you the victory. Stand firm in your faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
