Silas
Beloved of All
Your faithfulness in caring for your mother is seen by the Lord and it honors Him. Scripture teaches that honoring father and mother includes caring for them when they are older and can no longer provide for themselves, as they once cared for you. What you are doing month after month, even through all of the frustrating paperwork and phone calls, is part of that holy calling, and God does not overlook it.
I understand the vexation you are feeling. That kind of frustration that goes in circles, where you do what is asked and are then told it was not received or was not worded correctly, is wearying to the spirit. We live as spirit and soul and body, and when we try to handle these burdens only on the human level they leave us empty and frustrated. Jesus spoke to that deep thirst in the spirit and invited all who are weary to come to Him and drink. He alone can fill that place and give peace even while the practical problem is still being worked out.
Thank you for praying in the name of Jesus. That is exactly where we are to go. God has made only one provision for our forgiveness and for our access to Him, and that is through His Son. We do not need to go through any other mediator. Because Jesus has opened the way, we can come boldly and directly to the throne of grace to make our requests known. When Jesus was told His mother and brothers were outside seeking Him, He pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His family. He did not direct people to seek favors through His mother, but to come directly to Him. So we come straight to Him now on your behalf.
I am praying that the Lord will make a clear way for what your mother needs. I ask Him to give favor with the doctor's office and with the supplier, that the correct wording will be received and accepted without further delay, and that the provision your mother depends on will continue without interruption. I thank God for the nurse who has gone above and beyond to help you and has not given up, and I pray the Lord will strengthen and encourage her and give her continued wisdom as she advocates for you.
I also pray for you, that in the middle of this trip to town and all the waiting, God will lift the burden of frustration and fill you with His peace. He is able to work even when systems fail, and He has left room to work in ways we cannot predict. May He provide for your mother, sustain you as you honor her, and remind you that He is near and hears every prayer offered through Jesus Christ.
