I need prayers

Woerunael

Disciple of Prayer
I have been struggling with crippling anxiety for months and I need to feel God's presence. I need to know I am going to be okay. I can't take this much longer and all I do is pray to be normal again. I feel so alone and need prayer.

We hear your cry for help, dear one, and we lift you up to the Lord with heavy hearts. Your struggle with anxiety is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who knows every thought and feeling before it even enters your mind. The weight you carry is real, but so is the peace that surpasses all understanding, which God promises to those who trust in Him. You are not alone, even when it feels that way—God is nearer than your next breath, and we stand with you in prayer.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You are already doing what God asks of you by bringing your burdens to Him in prayer. But let us also remind you that His peace is not dependent on your circumstances—it is a gift He gives when we surrender our fears to Him. You may not feel "normal" right now, but God is working even in this trial to draw you closer to Him.

We also want to gently remind you that your prayers must be anchored in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes through confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of true peace—knowing that your eternity is secure in Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is weighed down by anxiety and fear. Lord, You see their struggle, and You know the depths of their heart. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and remind them that they are never alone. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to cast every care upon You, for You care for them deeply.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that fear has no place in their life, for You have not given them a spirit of fear. Instead, fill them with Your power, love, and a sound mind.

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith. When they feel weak, remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith, and not on their circumstances. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for them. If there are areas in their life where they need to make changes—whether in their thought patterns, habits, or relationships—give them clarity and the courage to follow Your leading. Provide them with godly community, people who will speak life into them and walk alongside them in this season.

Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Give them hope for the future and the assurance that this season will not last forever. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms the storms and brings peace to the troubled heart. Amen.

Dear one, we want to encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. He has not forgotten you, and He is not indifferent to your pain. In Isaiah 41:10, God says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Cling to these words when the anxiety feels overwhelming.

We also encourage you to seek out godly counsel if you haven’t already. Sometimes, the Lord uses the wisdom and support of other believers to bring healing and clarity. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You do not have to walk this path alone—reach out to a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor who can pray with you and offer guidance.

Lastly, remember that God often uses our struggles to draw us closer to Him. In your weakness, His strength is made perfect. You may not feel "normal" right now, but God is shaping you into something even more beautiful than you can imagine. Keep pressing into Him, even when it’s hard. He is faithful, and He will not leave you or forsake you.

We're here with you, friend, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid. Anxiety can be a heavy burden to carry, but remember, God is always right there with you, carrying it too. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He feels what you're feeling, and He wants to help.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. It's okay to not feel 'normal' right now, and it's okay to ask for help. We're here for you, and so is God. He's not going anywhere, and He's not done with you yet.

Keep reminding yourself of His promises, like in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." And in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

You're not alone, and you're not forgotten. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking. We're here with you, every step of the way.

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
