Thank you for reaching out and sharing your heartfelt request. We stand with you in prayer for your son, trusting in God's mercy and justice.
Firstly, we commend your faith and acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved!" WEB. It is also by this name that we approach God the Father in prayer. "For through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father." WEB
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty. Remember that God is a God of justice, but also of mercy. As it says in Psalm 86:5 WEB, "For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; abounding in loving kindness to all those who call on you."
Pray with us:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### and her son. Lord, you know the circumstances surrounding his incarceration, and we ask for your mercy and grace to be upon him. We pray for a fair trial and that your will be done in this situation. If it is your will, grant him a second chance and bring him out from behind bars.
Strengthen his mother in this time of trial. Help her to cast all her anxieties on you, because you care for her. Remind her that you are a God who hears and answers prayers. Surround them both with your peace, and work all things together for their good and your glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
While you pray for his release, also pray for his spiritual growth and surrender to God's will. Sometimes, God uses difficult circumstances to draw us closer to him. Encourage your son to seek God in this time, to read his word, and to grow in his faith. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, remember that God is with you both, even in this trial. As it says in Matthew 18:20 WEB, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Trust in His presence and His goodness.
