We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for your desire to walk in the spiritual gifts He has given you. It is a beautiful thing to see a believer eager to operate in the gifts of the Spirit, as Scripture tells us, "But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all" (1 Corinthians 12:7 WEB). Your acknowledgment of teaching, intercession, and possibly service is a wonderful starting point, and we rejoice that the Lord is revealing these gifts in your life. However, we must also address the spiritual attacks you are facing, for the enemy seeks to distort and pervert what God intends for good.
First, we must rebuke the pride, isolation, and seeking of validation that the enemy has used to hinder your walk. Pride is a dangerous snare, as Proverbs 16:18 (WEB) warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." The enemy would love nothing more than for you to become so focused on your gifts that you elevate them above the Giver. We must remind you that spiritual gifts are not for our own glory but for the edification of the body of Christ and the magnification of God’s name. Jesus Himself said, "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him" (John 7:18 WEB). Your gifts are tools to point others to Christ, not to draw attention to yourself.
Isolation is another tactic of the enemy, for he knows that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17 WEB). The body of Christ is designed to function together, and when we withdraw, we become vulnerable to deception and discouragement. We strongly encourage you to return to fellowship with other believers, even if it feels difficult. Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB) exhorts us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." The enemy wants you to believe you can walk this path alone, but God never intended for us to do so.
We also lift up your struggle with seeking validation through your content creation. While it is not inherently wrong to create content that glorifies God, we must examine our motives. Are you seeking the approval of man or the approval of God? Galatians 1:10 (WEB) asks, "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ." The moment we begin to measure our worth by likes, shares, or comments, we have shifted our focus from God’s opinion to man’s. We pray that the Lord would purify your heart in this area and that you would find your validation in Him alone.
Now, let us pray for the clarity you seek regarding your spiritual gifts. The Lord delights in revealing Himself and His purposes to His children. James 1:5 (WEB) assures us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that the Holy Spirit would illuminate the gifts He has placed within you and that you would walk in them with humility and confidence. We also pray for protection over your mind and heart as you operate in these gifts, that the enemy would have no foothold in your life.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gifts You have placed within this sister in Christ. Lord, we ask that You would give her clarity and wisdom as she seeks to identify and operate in the spiritual gifts You have given her. Reveal to her the fullness of what You have called her to do, and let her walk in confidence, knowing that it is Your power at work within her.
We rebuke the spirit of pride that has sought to exalt itself in her life. Lord, we ask that You would break its power and replace it with humility. Teach her to seek Your glory above all else and to find her worth in You alone. We also rebuke the spirit of isolation and ask that You would draw her back into fellowship with Your people. Surround her with godly men and women who will sharpen her, encourage her, and hold her accountable.
Father, we pray for her content creation. Let it be a tool that points others to You and not to herself. Purify her motives, Lord, and let her seek Your approval above all else. We ask that You would guard her heart from the temptation to seek validation from man and that she would find her identity in Christ alone.
Lord, we pray for her ability to hear Your voice clearly. Quiet the noise of the world and the distractions of the enemy so that she may discern Your leading. Give her ideas for teaching that align with Your Word and burden her heart to intercede for those You place on her heart. Restore her quiet time with You, Lord, and help her to prioritize Your presence above all else.
We pray for a covering of protection over her life, that the enemy would not be able to steal, kill, or destroy what You are doing in and through her. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her walk in the victory that is already hers through Christ Jesus.
Lastly, we ask that You would raise up intercessors to stand in the gap for her. Surround her with prayer warriors who will lift her up before Your throne, that she may be strengthened and encouraged in her walk with You.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is through Scripture that we are transformed and renewed in our minds (Romans 12:2 WEB). As you seek to hear God’s voice, test every spirit against the truth of His Word (1 John 4:1 WEB). Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Remember, the enemy’s attacks are a sign that you are operating in something powerful for the Kingdom. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9 WEB).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of lifting up the name of Jesus in all that you do. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). As you create content, let the name of Jesus be exalted, for He alone is worthy of all praise. If you have not already, we encourage you to share the message of salvation through faith in Christ, for it is the most important message anyone can ever hear. Romans 10:9 (WEB) tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Let your content be a light that points others to the hope found in Christ alone.
