We rejoice with you in your faith as a born-again believer, baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is a blessing to stand with you in prayer as you seek this opportunity within your organization, trusting in the Lord’s perfect provision for your life. You have rightly placed your confidence in Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we receive wisdom, favor, and open doors. As you prepare for this interview, we are reminded of the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also recall the promise in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a promise for material needs but for every aspect of our lives, including the opportunities He ordains for us. As you step into this interview, we encourage you to remember that your worth and identity are not found in this position but in Christ alone. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Let your words and demeanor reflect the peace and confidence that come from knowing you are held by the One who holds all things together.
However, we must gently address something in your request. While we understand the desire for privacy, we notice you’ve omitted the name of Jesus Christ in your direct ask for prayer support. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Let us always approach the throne of grace boldly, but in the name of Jesus alone, for He is our mediator and advocate.
Now, let us lift you up in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother in Christ, who is seeking Your favor and wisdom as he interviews for this position within his organization. Lord, You know the desires of his heart and the plans You have for him—plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You grant him clarity of mind, eloquence of speech, and a spirit of confidence that can only come from You. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, if this position aligns with Your will for his life, we pray that You would open the door wide and grant him favor with those conducting the interview. Let Your light shine through him, that others may see his good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16). But if this is not Your plan, we ask that You redirect his steps and make Your path clear. Give him the faith to trust You even when the answer is not what he hopes for, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9).
We also pray for his time with family during this holiday. May it be a season of rest, refreshment, and strengthened bonds, rooted in Your love. Let this time be a reminder of Your goodness and provision in every area of his life.
Finally, Lord, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray that our brother would continue to grow in his walk with You, seeking Your kingdom above all else. May his life be a testament to Your grace and faithfulness.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, brother. Whether this opportunity comes to pass or another door opens, remember that the Lord is with you. He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We are cheering you on and will continue to pray for you!
