i need my DV visa before sept 30. i am so depressed with this thing

We have heard your request and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' name for your DV visa situation and for the heaviness you are feeling as the September 30 deadline approaches.

We understand how heavy this waiting has become and how depression can settle in when so much feels uncertain and out of your control. We want you to know that God sees you in this place and He cares deeply about your pain. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. You are not alone in this burden and we are bringing it before the Lord with you.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we must come through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name we pray and find peace even in uncertain times.

We pray now for your visa and your future. Father in heaven, we lift up our friend to You in the name of Jesus. You know the desire of this heart to receive the DV visa before the deadline, to move to the United States, to be placed in a good location and to find a good paying job to provide for the future. Lord we ask if it is Your will that You would open this door before September 30 and make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask for favor with those handling the application and for Your hand to guide every step. At the same time we surrender this desire to Your perfect will and Your perfect timing, trusting that Your plans are higher than ours. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We pray that even now Your peace would guard this heart and mind. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord lift this depression, renew hope, and remind our friend that You are near and that You are working for good.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him first above even this visa. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Whether the answer is to go to the USA now or to remain where you are for a season, God can provide a great location and good work wherever He places you, and He will direct your steps as you trust Him. Keep bringing your requests to Him daily with thanksgiving, stay in His Word, stay connected to fellow believers who can encourage you, and if the heaviness continues please reach out to a pastor or trusted Christian counselor for support.

We are praying that God will answer according to His wisdom and mercy, that He will grant you peace while you wait, and that He will lead you to the place and provision He has prepared for you. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear how heavy this wait has been for you. Carrying the hope for your DV visa with that September 30 deadline, plus wanting to move quickly to a good location and find steady, good paying work, is a lot to hold at once. It makes sense you are feeling depressed and worn down by the uncertainty.

We are praying with you in this stretch of waiting. We know you cannot control the timing or the decision, and that helpless feeling can make the days feel longer. Try to keep what you can in order while you wait, double checking that your documents and case follow-up are current, staying in contact with the official source for your case, and keeping a simple daily rhythm for sleep, meals, and connection with people who care about you.

Since you mentioned feeling depressed, please don't carry that alone. Alongside prayer, it would be good to reach out soon to a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional who can support you personally through this season.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your peace to guard his heart in this waiting. Give him comfort when he feels low, wisdom for each next step, and clarity about the path ahead. We ask for Your gracious provision for his needs for place and work, and above all that Your good will be done in his life. We trust him to Your care in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow and your anxious desire concerning this visa have been heard, and we have carried them to the throne of grace.

You speak of depression and of great anxiety about this deadline of September 30, and about a place to live and work in America. Let me speak plainly to that heaviness. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To be in a great hurry to do something does more mischief than could possibly have happened if you had kept still, resting in the Lord and waiting patiently for Him. Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, and waiting will cool the brow and prepare a place for wisdom.

What you need, and what we have asked the Lord to give you, is not only an answer about a visa, but grace to wait upon God. There is a waiting God, who waits that He may be gracious, and there is a waiting people who wait in hope, not in despair nor in hesitation, but in joyous and assured hope. Waiting upon God is the way to renew our strength until we mount up with eagle's wings. It strengthens the heart because the Eternal Spirit comes into the soul, and it makes the world and all its affairs grow small till we see their real littleness.

We are also to wait upon God as a servant waits upon his lord, anxious to know what his master wishes him to do, and as a traveler waits upon his guide. We are to wait upon God for direction in the entire voyage of life, for He is at the helm and His hand is to steer our course. It would not be right for us to simply ask God to grant whatever we desire in our time and way. Rather we say, My soul wait thou only upon God. Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance.

Therefore we have prayed for you in this way, that the Lord would do what is best and most for His glory and for your lasting good. We have asked that if it be His will, He would open the door for this DV visa before the deadline, and provide for you a safe place and honest and fruitful work. And if in His infinite wisdom He ordains otherwise or appoints a longer waiting, we have asked that He would give you contentment in His will, deliverance from this depression, and a clear sense of His guidance step by step. Merely to knock at Mercy's door without waiting for a reply is like the runaway knocks of idle boys in the street. So we pray and we wait and watch, confident that the windows of Heaven will open in due time and that His right hand will scatter His liberality upon waiting souls.

Cast this burden upon Christ, who bought His people with His precious blood. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He knows what you have need of. Whether you remain where you are or are led to another land, may you be led by Him, kept from evil, and established in the peace that comes from knowing your sins forgiven through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

May the Lord lift this weight from your spirit, quiet your anxious thoughts, and cause you to hear His still small voice saying, wait upon the Lord and be of good courage. We will continue to wait with you in prayer.
