Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer request shows a sincere desire to put the Lord first, and that desire to see everything in your life be for God's glory is the right foundation for everything else you are asking.
Prayer is essential for guidance and for life itself. Jesus himself, though he is the Son of God, sought time alone to pray, and if he saw that need, how much more do we need to bring every area of our lives before the Father. Your request for wisdom, guidance, strategy, support and blessing in each area is exactly what God invites us to ask for. Scripture says if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously, and God delights to give direction to those who seek him with a humble heart.
I join you in praying for each area you mentioned. For your spiritual life and ministries, that God would strengthen your inner life as faithfully as you care for your body. We often feed our bodies every day without fail, but we feed our souls irregularly, and then wonder why we feel weak spiritually. Ask the Lord to help you nourish your spiritual life daily through his Word, prayer, and fellowship with him, so that your service for him flows out of closeness to him.
For your work and business, for finances, for friendships and relationships, and for physical activity and sport, pray that the Lord will give you clear steps and open and close doors according to his will. God does not put himself in a box. In the old law he even made a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy had no human cure. That shows he left room for his own grace and power to work a miracle when he desired. In the same way, do not limit what God can do in your job, your resources, or your relationships. Bring the practical needs to him and allow him to work in his own way and time.
For your desire for a wife and family, that is a good and holy desire. From the beginning God designed marriage so that two become one, a deep unity where two lives are joined together as one before him. Pray that God will prepare you and prepare the woman he has for you, that he will guide you with purity and patience, and that any relationship would be built on commitment to Christ and to a lifelong covenant as God intends marriage to be.
For your physical needs, I pray with compassion for your complete healing. The Lord sees what others cannot see. Nothing about you is hidden from him. He sees the pain in your wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, the left leg and the left side of your pelvis, the lumps in your thigh and on your abdomen, and your stomach and intestines and the whole gastrointestinal tract. Jesus was always moved with compassion for those who suffered physically, and he went about doing good and healing many. He still is full of sympathy and understanding for our weaknesses and needs, and we can bring every detail to him and trust his power and love.
At the same time, the greatest need any of us has is salvation and forgiveness of sins. It is better to enter heaven with a body that still struggles than to have a healthy body without Christ. Physical healing is a gracious gift, but forgiveness through the blood of Jesus is the only provision God has made for sin, and it is the foundation for every other blessing. So as we pray for healing, we also pray that your heart would be kept close to Jesus, trusting him alone for salvation, walking in fellowship with him, and knowing his peace even while you wait for answers.
May the Lord who bore spiritual, emotional and physical pain on the cross to free us from darkness and bring us into his light, now strengthen you, heal you according to his will, guide you in every decision, provide for you, and be glorified in every part of your life. I pray that he will give you wisdom for each choice, strategy for each challenge, and the assurance that he is with you and at work for your good and his glory, in the name of Jesus Christ.
