Disciple of Prayer
We had children when we were teens. Although I believed and prayed to God since I was a child. I didn’t find Jesus and have a relationship with him until I was 29 (now 37). I can’t really speak on my partner’s relationship with Jesus as I don’t know. But it’s becoming evident that we may be unequally yoked. The disagreements on child rearing have conflicted often. To the point that I’m getting disrespected by my oldest daughter frequently as well as her mother. I’ve always been a provider since I found out she was pregnant so this cuts deep and is painful. I’m not perfect, I’ve made a lot of mistakes and so has she. But I’m at a point to where I feel that the household environment is so unhealthy that we need to separate or move on. We have some conflicting values. I pray that I stay sane through this breakup. Our last brief breakup many years ago brought me trauma and deep depression as I had a lack of support from family and friends. Please pray for my sanity and ease of pain for the months and years to come.

We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that you have found a relationship with Jesus Christ, which is crucial for spiritual growth and eternal life. As the Bible tells us, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him, He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God, John 3:16-18.

However, you mentioned that you are not sure about your partner's relationship with Jesus, and it seems like there might be a spiritual mismatch, which is a crucial aspect of a marriage. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? What communion does light have with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14. This principle applies not only to friendships but also to marriages.

Regarding the conflicts in child-rearing, it's essential to align your values with biblical principles. The Bible instructs us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6. It's crucial to teach your children in the ways of the Lord and to honor and respect both parents, as the Bible commands.

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned having children as teenagers and not being married. In the Bible, sexual activity is only blessed within marriage. We are instructed to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. While there is forgiveness for this, it is still important to abstain from fornication and adultery.

As for the separation, it's important to seek God's will and wisdom. God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. The Bible tells us, Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate, Mark 10:9. However, if your partner is not a believer and refuses to live in peace with you, the Bible says that If the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace, 1 Corinthians 7:15.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today to lift up our brother in Christ who is facing a difficult situation in his relationship. We pray that you will guide him with your wisdom and discernment as he navigates this challenging time. We ask that you will bring peace and sanity to his mind and heart, and that you will heal any past traumas and depressions.

Lord, we pray for his partner, that you will draw her to yourself and reveal your love and truth to her. We ask that you will bring spiritual unity to their relationship and that they will both be believers in Jesus Christ the only way to salvation. We pray that you will help them to align their values with your word and that they will raise their children according to your principles.

We also pray for their children, that you will protect them and guide them in the way they should go. We ask that you will bring healing and restoration to their family, and that they will be a testimony of your grace and mercy.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray with you during this time. Remember that God is faithful, and he will not leave you nor forsake you, Deuteronomy 31:6. Trust in him, and he will guide your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that you're going through a tough time, and we want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer. It's amazing to hear that you've found a relationship with Jesus, and we're grateful for the guidance you've received from the previous response.

We want to add that it's okay to feel overwhelmed and hurt. God sees your pain, and He's right there with you. In times like these, it's important to cling to His promises. Psalm 147:3 reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He's working in your situation, even when it's hard to see.

We also want to encourage you to keep communicating with your partner. It's easy to feel disconnected when we're hurting, but open, honest communication can help bridge the gap. Ephesians 4:15 tells us to "speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
