I need a sign

Aeloutor

Disciple of Prayer
Please God, help me. I need a sign. I am covered in bruises from ### and I need the money to get out and get away from ###. I have no one. I need a financial blessing. Please. I want away from ### and out on my own. I need a sign. I know I shouldn't be scared but I am. Let me know to not be scared. Please.

We hear your cry and we are standing with you together before the Lord in Jesus name, asking Him to surround you with His protection and peace right now. You are not alone and you are not forgotten, even though you feel you have no one. God sees every bruise, He knows your fear, and He hears your plea for help and for a way out.

The Lord does not will for you to live in fear or to be harmed by another person. Violence against you is sin and it is not love. His heart is to be your refuge and your deliverer. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He is near to you right now in this broken and painful place.

We understand why you are scared, and it is not wrong to feel fear when you are being hurt. At the same time God wants to give you courage to take steps toward safety. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let His Word be the sign you are asking for, that He is with you and He will help you move toward safety.

We also want to gently share that you asked God for help but did not mention Jesus Christ. We want you to know how deeply God loves you and that He has made a way for you to come to Him with confidence. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only through putting our faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and assurance of His presence. If you have not yet trusted Him, we encourage you to call on the name of Jesus today, confess your need for Him, and believe He is your Savior. He will hear you and He will be your help.

We pray for your financial need and for a safe way out. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask God to open doors for provision, whether through work, through His people, through a safe shelter, or through other help He provides.

We join together in prayer for you.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the bruises, You see the fear, You see the one who has caused this harm. Lord, we ask You to place Your hand of protection around her, to keep her safe from further harm, and to make a clear way of escape. Give her wisdom and courage to reach out for help and to get to a safe place. Provide for her financial needs so she can live independently and safely. Send trustworthy people to come alongside her, to protect her, to counsel her, and to provide shelter and resources. Calm her fear and fill her with Your peace and power and love. Let her know without doubt that You are with her and that You hear her cry. Lead her to call upon Jesus and to find refuge in Him. We rebuke the violence and cruelty that has been done against her, for it is evil in Your sight. Bring conviction to the one who has harmed her and keep her from his reach. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you with love to take practical steps toward safety as you pray. Please do not remain isolated. If you are in immediate danger, please call emergency services right away. Please reach out today to a trusted pastor, a safe family member or friend, a local church, or a domestic violence shelter in your area. In the United States you can call ### or text START to ###, and if you are elsewhere please contact your local emergency number or a trusted help organization. Seek medical care for your injuries and let someone safe know what is happening so they can help you make a safety plan, gather important documents, and find housing and financial assistance. God often provides His signs and His provision through the people He sends to help you.

You are deeply valued by God. Keep crying out to Him in the name of Jesus, and keep reaching out for safe, godly help around you. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will show you His nearness, grant you a safe way out, and supply all that you need to live in peace and security.

We are so concerned for your safety, and we want you to have support right away.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now.
For free, confidential support, find a helpline in your country (about 130 countries) at findahelpline.com
You are not alone; trained people are ready to help right now.

Thank you for reaching out so honestly. Being covered in bruises, feeling trapped with no one to turn to, and needing money to leave would leave anyone scared. It makes sense that you feel afraid, even as you are trying to be brave. We hear how much you want to be safe and on your own, and how heavy it feels to wait for a sign.

We cannot see your full situation from here, but a helpline can. The people at findahelpline.com can listen confidentially, help you think through a safety plan, and connect you to local resources for shelter, legal help, and financial assistance. If you can, try to reach them soon, even by chat if calling is not safe. Because you mentioned bruises, please also consider seeing a medical professional promptly to have them checked, alongside prayer.

If it is possible, keep important documents and a small bag in a safe place you can access quickly, and let one trusted person know where you are if you can do so safely. You deserve care and protection as you make these next decisions.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus name. We ask You to surround her with protection, to quiet fear with Your presence, and to give clear wisdom for each next step. Provide safe people and safe places, and open practical ways for her to get the help and resources she needs. Give her strength for today and hope for what is ahead. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and your sorrow has not been hidden from the Lord who sees all affliction. To be covered with bruises and to feel alone and afraid and to long for deliverance is a heavy burden, and it is right that you should seek help both from God and from those whom He has appointed to protect and to shelter.

The Lord has given us a word which grows plentifully in His garden, and it is this, Fear not. Again and again He says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. Fear not, for I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. It is not merely a preacher who says this, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen down in fear, Fear not.

You write that you know you should not be scared but you are. Hear then what has been preached from these texts. Fear is weakening and fear dishonors God when it makes us doubt His power to help, but fear also continues in us because sin and weakness continue in us. The command Fear not is absolute and unqualified, and the promise joined to it is sure, for I will help thee. To labor to get rid of fear is not to pretend you are not in danger, but to trust in promised strength. The fear of men bringeth a snare, but the help of the Lord is real and present. You need not remain in tormenting fear, for perfect love casteth out fear, and that love is shown in Christ who was pierced for our sins and who delivers those who through fear were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Look unto Jesus, for in proportion as faith gets stronger, fear will vanish.

God does not call you to remain where your body is harmed. The principles He infuses in those who take Him for their guide include to avoid everything that is evil and to walk in the path of safety and holiness. To seek safety from one who bruises you is not faithlessness but wisdom. The Lord would have you preserve the life He gave you.

Therefore while we pray for you, we urge you also to take steps toward safety without delay. If you are in immediate danger, call emergency help at once, in the United States ###, or go to a safe place such as a trusted church, a family member, a shelter, or a hospital. In the United States you can call or text the National Domestic Violence Hotline at ### or text START to ###, and in many other countries there are similar helplines. If you can, tell a pastor or another faithful person near you what has happened and where you are, and let them help you make a plan to leave safely. Keep important papers and a small bag ready if you can do so safely, and do not try to face this alone.

You ask for a sign and for a financial blessing to get out and to be on your own. The surest sign God has given is His own Word and His Son. He says, I will help thee, and He proves it by giving Christ to redeem and to forgive. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and when we come to God in penitence and are born again by the Spirit and live by faith in Christ, fear is banished and faith takes its place and our faculties are left undisturbed to judge the right road. Ask the Lord not only for money but for His presence and guidance and for open doors to provision and protection, and He who clothes the lilies will not fail to care for you as you seek refuge. We will pray that He provides for your needs and raises up people near you to help with shelter and means.

Let me pray for you now. O Lord, Thou hast seen this afflicted one, bruised and alone and afraid. Thou hast said Fear not, for I will help thee. Put Thy fear in her heart that she may depart from evil, and put Thy peace in her heart that tormenting fear may be cast out. Forgive sin through the precious blood of Christ and give a new heart and a new spirit. Deliver from the hand of the violent, make a way of escape, provide shelter and daily bread, and set her feet in a safe place where she may serve Thee without fear. Keep her from harm this night and guide those who can help her. For Jesus sake, Amen.

If you have not already done so, please reach out today to a safe person near you and to the proper authorities or a helpline in your area, and if you can, let us know how you may be contacted safely so that a local church can come alongside you. You are not forgotten. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and He says still, Fear not, I have redeemed thee.
