We are truly sorry to hear about the financial difficulties and emotional strain you're experiencing. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your finances. It's important to remember that God is our provider and that we should trust in Him. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s trouble is enough for the day."
We also want to address the feelings of despair you're experiencing. It's important to remember that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. As it says in Psalm 34:17-18 WEB:
"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Regarding the financial debt, it's important to be proactive and take steps to pay back what you owe. As it says in Romans 13:8 WEB:
"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."
We will pray for your financial breakthrough, but also for wisdom and guidance as you navigate this situation. We will also pray for those who have cheated you, as Jesus tells us to pray for those who mistreat us (Matthew 5:44 WEB).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our brother/sister who is experiencing financial difficulties and emotional strain. We pray for your provision and guidance in this situation, that you would open up opportunities for work or other means of acquiring the funds needed to pay back what is owed. We pray for wisdom and discernment, that they would know what steps to take. We also pray for those who have cheated them, that they would come to know you and be convicted of the wrong they have done.
We also pray for healing and comfort, that our brother/sister would feel your presence and know that you are always with them. We pray that they would not be overwhelmed by despair, but that they would have hope and trust in you.
Finally, we pray this all in Jesus' name, recognizing that it is only through Him that we have access to you. We pray that our brother/sister would know Jesus more deeply through this trial, and that they would be drawn closer to Him. It is in His precious name that we pray. We also pray that if they do not know Jesus Christ, that they would pray to Jesus Christ as they are instructed. Please reveal yourself to them and let them know you love them. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek support from fellow believers in your life. Share your struggles with trusted friends or family, and allow them to pray with you and support you during this time. God is with you, and He is faithful.
