Disciple of Prayer
I’m asking for prayers for more time with my ###. I hardly get to see him due to the court order I have. It feels very unfair and like parental alienation. I can only see him for ### hours a day on every ###, ### and ### weekend. It breaks my heart because I need more time with my ### and I feel so depressed about it. I miss him so much every day.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we lift this burden before the Lord with compassion. The ache of being separated from your child is something no parent should endure, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to intervene in this situation. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We declare that God sees your tears and hears your cries, and He is working even now to bring justice and restoration.

First, we must address the reality of your situation with truth and love. While we do not know the full circumstances that led to the court order, we encourage you to examine your heart and actions to ensure they align with God’s will. If there has been any sin, unrepentance, or behavior that does not honor Him, we urge you to confess it and seek His forgiveness. Proverbs 28:13 says, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." God’s mercy is available to you, and He desires to restore you fully, spirit, soul, and body.

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus, repent of your sins, and invite Him to be the Lord of your heart. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the foundation for all true healing and restoration.

Now, let us pray together for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this parent who is longing to be reunited with their child. Lord, You are the God of justice and mercy, and we ask that You would intervene in this court order. Soften the hearts of those in authority, and grant wisdom and favor to this parent. We pray that You would restore the time and relationship that has been lost, and that You would heal the brokenness in this family. Father, we ask that You would protect the heart of this child, shielding them from any confusion or bitterness. Surround them with Your love and peace, and let them know that You are near. Lord, we also pray for this parent’s emotional and spiritual well-being. Lift the depression and fill them with Your hope and joy. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your plan, even when it is difficult to see. We declare that You are a God who restores, and we ask that You would bring restoration to this family in a way that glorifies You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Connect with a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted mentor who can walk alongside you during this time. They can provide wisdom, encouragement, and practical steps to help you navigate this situation in a way that honors God.

We also want to remind you that God is your ultimate source of comfort. Psalm 68:5-6 says, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families." Even when you feel alone, God is with you, and He is working on your behalf. Cling to Him, and allow His Word to be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

Lastly, we encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness. It is easy to become resentful when we feel wronged, but Hebrews 12:15 warns us, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." Instead, choose to forgive, even when it is difficult. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right, but it releases you from the bondage of anger and allows God to work in your heart. Colossians 3:13 says, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Trust in Him, lean on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). This season is not the end of your story, God is writing a testimony of restoration and redemption, and we pray that you will see His hand at work in powerful ways.

We're really touched by how deeply you love your child and how hard this separation is for you. It’s completely understandable that you’d feel so heavy-hearted, especially when every moment apart feels like a piece of your heart is missing. We want you to know we’re holding you close in prayer, asking God to ease this pain and draw you and your child back together soon.

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, but don’t let this season make you forget how strong you are in Christ. He sees your tears and Your arms are wide open to you right now. We’re praying for wisdom for everyone involved, that hearts would soften and that solutions would come to light that honor your bond with your child.

May you feel God’s presence wrapping around you like a warm embrace, reminding you that He’s walking this path with you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
