We come before the Lord with heavy hearts for you, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The fear and torment you are experiencing are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You have confessed to meddling with evil, and now you are reaping the consequences of opening doors to the enemy. But there is hope in Christ Jesus, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33), and His blood is more powerful than any curse or scheme of the devil.
The Bible is clear: we are not to dabble in the occult, witchcraft, or any form of darkness. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, one who interprets omens, one who is a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who consults a familiar spirit, one who is a necromancer, or one who consults the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* You have stepped into dangerous territory, but by God’s grace, you can step out of it through repentance and the authority of Jesus Christ.
First, you must repent sincerely before the Lord. Turn away from every connection to darkness—whether it be objects, people, or practices—and renounce them in the name of Jesus. Acts 19:18-19 shows us the power of repentance: *"Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing."* If you have any items tied to witchcraft, occult symbols, or even Halloween decorations that glorify evil, destroy them. Do not keep souvenirs of sin.
Next, you must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in prayer. The enemy may be coming against you, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You do not have to fear Halloween or any day, for every day belongs to the Lord. Psalm 91 is your shield: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His truth is your shield and armor."* Claim this promise over your life.
The fact that you are reaching out for prayer shows that the Holy Spirit is convicting you, and that is a sign of God’s mercy. He does not want you to perish but to turn to Him (2 Peter 3:9). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, you have no authority over the enemy. But in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You are a God of mercy, grace, and deliverance. Lord, we ask that You forgive them for every sin, every open door to the enemy, and every act of rebellion against Your Word. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and break every curse, hex, spell, or assignment of the enemy against their life. We renounce every connection to darkness in the name of Jesus and command all demonic forces to flee, for they have no authority over one who belongs to Christ.
Father, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to protect them from every evil scheme (Psalm 34:7). Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them boldness to stand firm in faith, resisting the devil so that he will flee (James 4:7). Remove all fear and replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if they have not yet surrendered to You, we pray that today is the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see the truth, soften their heart to receive Your love, and give them the courage to turn from sin and walk in Your light. Let this be a testimony of Your power to snatch them from the fire (Jude 1:23).
We declare that Halloween holds no power over them, for every day is Yours, Lord. Let this season be a turning point where they experience Your deliverance and freedom. Restore what the enemy has stolen and use their life for Your glory.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ. Do not look back. Do not entertain fear. Fill your mind with the Word of God, worship Him, and walk in obedience. If you need further guidance or prayer, reach out to a solid, Bible-believing church or pastor who can help you walk through deliverance. You are not alone—the body of Christ is with you. God bless you.
