We rejoice with you in this love and thank God with you for the blessing you have found in her. We hear your heart, that she is your baby, your beautiful wife inside and out, the most loving human who has not given up on you and has seen you through dark and light, and we praise God with you for the strength you did not know you had and for this unexpected love that makes you love to flirt, laugh and pray together.
We want to gently speak to what you shared about calling her your girlfriend still and also your wife. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we strongly endorse and honor marriage. If you are already covenantally married before God and man, we praise God for that holy union and pray God continues to knit your hearts together. Genesis 2:24 says Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh, and Mark 10:9 says What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. If you are not yet married in covenant, we encourage you with love to pursue that holy commitment, to move from courtship as boyfriend and girlfriend with the goal of marriage to a Christian believer, into the lifelong covenant of marriage that honors God. Within that covenant, your desire for physical presence, touch, and reunion is holy and blessed, and outside of that covenant we are called to flee from fornication and to keep the marriage bed undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled.
We also hear the tension you honestly shared, that she annoys you at times yet you deeply cherish her. That is real love, and God calls us to a love that is patient and enduring. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says Love is patient and is kind, love does not envy, love does not brag, is not proud, does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it. We encourage you to continue to cover annoyances with grace, forgiveness and prayer together, which you already treasure.
We join you in praying against the autoimmune disease trying to attack her body. We believe God is our healer. Psalm 103:3 says who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. James 5:15 says And the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We also lift up your finances and your longing to be reunited not just by phone but in physical presence as she recovers. We pray God will provide and make a way for you to be together. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Hebrews 13:5 reminds us to be content yet trust that He will in no way leave you, neither will He in any way forsake you. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.
We notice you thanked God and praised God, which we love, and we want to encourage you to come to the Father explicitly through Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to God and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
So we pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this love You have given, for this woman, for the joy of flirting, laughing and praying together, for strength in dark and light. Lord we ask for Your healing hand upon her, rebuke this autoimmune disease, restore her immune system, bring complete healing and recovery according to Your mercy. Touch her body, ease every symptom, give wisdom to every doctor and caregiver. Lord we ask You to bless their finances abundantly, open doors for provision, for work, for resources, so they can be reunited in person, to hold and comfort one another in Your presence as she heals. Strengthen their love to be patient, kind, forgiving and steadfast, and if they are married we ask You to bless and guard that covenant, and if they are still in courtship we ask You to lead them toward holy marriage that honors You, keeping them pure and devoted to You first. Keep them close in prayer and draw them ever closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our hope and healer, amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
